Huffington Post, Gay Voices, has a story about a gay rapper suing Macklemore for stealing his song and using it for "Same Love". The complaint is that the straight white guy not giving back to the gay community. Please note that the comments are all by what "appear" to be gay men, and, from what I read, all support Macklemore. www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/08/29/le1f-gay-rapper-blasts-macklemore_n_3836703.htmlSORRY. I think this comment captures my opinion: "Dude is out of his mind. Those songs are nothing alike." There are some other similar claims out there -- Katy Perry's 'Roar' Sounds A Lot Like Sara Bareilles' 'Brave' www.youtube.com/watch?v=QUQsqBqxoR4The songs are strikingly similar but Sara is not suing anyone. But the other huge rip off is going to be in court. Lawyers for Robin Thicke and “Blurred Lines” collaborators, Pharrell Williams and T.I. have filed a pre-emptive suit about the Marvin Gay estate requesting dismissal of future claims that their song copies any previous songs — including Marvin Gaye’s “Got to Give It Up.” (Critics have also charged Thicke’s hit borrows equally from Funkadelic’s “Sexy Ways.”) Read more: www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/music-arts/marvin-gaye-son-implies-robin-thicke-ace-lawsuit-article-1.1433640#ixzz2dQS1MfztThis one is ugly and Thick, his collaborators and UMG are either going to settle or they will lose this one.

Daenerys, I am so in agreement with you. Sometimes I cringe as much at some of the fans' comments as I do at the haters. I have people tell me they could take Adam seriously except for "too many crazy fans". I do post supportive comments as seems appropriate in select situations. But I try not to make Adam or myself look bad. I don't go overboard, and I don't go on and on about how he is a victim suffering at the hands of the media. He is an entertainer of great ability. We don't need to make him a victim. No one loves a victim. I agree and no one likes to have an artist shove down their throats. I just read a review for Phillip Phillips and it wasn't a glowing review. Not one of his fans bothered to comment and believe me he has fans. We already know Adam has haters searching for all his articles and they wait for Adam fans to comment so they can troll. If you don't give them anything they will stay away. I really don't care if Adam gets a negative review because consumers are going to buy what they want regardless what some critic says. Generally if a critic hates something is when the hipsters go out of their way to search the artist themselves and make their own decisions. heathcliff said: "We don't need to make him a victim. No one loves a victim". This true IMO. The best way is to ignore negative reviews and to be convinced Adam's career which is now rising quickly. I'm so happy for Adam about these great recent events
