Well, in Chicago, "a rare performance by Queen featuring Adam Lambert" is still being played by KISS numerous times a day in their iHeart radio concert commercial.
Personally, I am not expecting any guest singers besides Adam---I still think the whole idea of "special guests" was the result of a poorly worded radio commercial early on. Having said that, fun. are major Queen fans, so I wouldn't be surprised if something happened there.
It isn't being sold as some kind of "all star jam" with lots of surprise singers.
eta---I LOVE Dave Grohl and would kill to see him on the same stage with Adam

I don't think Bowie will appear - but it's Bowie's part that Roger sings with Adam; not sure if he still has the range to do the Freddie part but I could be wrong. I did see a version from a Queen + Paul Rodgers show where Brian + Roger + Paul all sang so it could work out. Indeed...in one show Paul didn't even sing. Roger sang the first verse, Brian sang the second verse, they just did an instrumental rock guitar moment for the WHYYYY??? and they all sang the ending. So it could be done. But I *REALLY* doubt Bowie does this. If Bowie *IS* going to start performing again, he's going to want to make a splash on his own not as a guest. NOW if Bowie had been scheduled to appear I would say it was more likely. But I'd give this about a 1% chance. The guests will be: Foo Fighters (At least - Dave Grohl & Taylor Hawkins - In my mind a near certainty - No insider info - but Brian and Roger guest with them ALL the time) From there the likely choices if there are more than one are: Katy Perry (there and big fan) Elton John (there and good friend) Muse (good friends and they haven't performed together yet so who knows) fun (reportedly they almost had worked something out to perform with Queen at the Grammys but couldn't pull off the scheduling) -- Lady Ga Ga (always a threat) Steven Tyler (good friends with Brian & Roger) Dave Grohl made a surprise appearance here in Seattle with Sir Paul who is also doing iHeart on Saturday. hmmmm.....

Does anyone know how long the set will be or how many songs? I find it odd that on my top 40 stations (both of them) Robin Thicke has taken over the "special appearance by" slot. No mention of Queen featuring Adam Lambert anymore. Now MAYBE it's just these 2 stations and MAYBE I missed the times they used the promo mentioning Queen. MAYBE it was just coincidence. Any of the lists mentioned would be great. My love would be for WWTLF but perhaps that's too ballady for this kind of festival. My biggest nightmare would be if they did the song and Katy Perry sang it instead of Adam. Won't happen, but yikes! That is the same copy on all Clear Channel Top 40 stations are using -- but there is also the general commercial for the concert that includes Queen which is running on at least some CC Top 40 stations. Of course, it is Top 40 and Robin Thick has the #1 song in the world and of the summer and probably the year. And their target audience is 18-29/35 year olds. Queen's last US radio hit was in 1980. They are a classic rock band, not Top 40. Roger Taylor wrote the perfect song about the music shift that happened in the early 1980's -- Radio Ga Ga (Radio Caca) from 1983. This song was about the shift from album orientated radio to MTV music videos videos and narrow hits playlist programming. Radio Ga Ga was a #1 hit in many countries, but not in the US where radio music had already transitioned to pop. Equally weird that an artist who achieved huge success because of the support of US Top 40 radio named herself after this song -- Lady Gaga.

I would rather have Adam sing Who Wants To Live Forever?, than Show Must Go On. The way Adam sang WWTLF was so extraordinary, I must have played that song a hundred times when we got YTs. The song hit me the same way Mad World had that first time. I really think Adam could have a defining moment with WWTLF. Someone else said it a bit differently, but WWTLF is Adam's song. SMGO just isn't. Thought this chart might be of some interst, though I don't think it tells us which songs are currently more popular in the US.

Queen "Killer Queen" --- I am still surprised they did not do this in the Q+AL shows On "Innuendo" --- I think Adam would do this song justice -- here Robert Plant with Queen Agreed on both points! Robert Plant is super talented but I didn't think that was a great performance. Hard song to pull off live vocally, instrumentally and theatrically. Met Grohl at Disneyland yesterday! I should have asked!! Dunno if I'm more jealous of the Grohl part or the Disneyland part!!

(eta: I don't think Timberlake, or even Michael Jackson could pull this song off like Adam.) I think it really touched Brian May the first time he heard Adam sing that song (I think in rehearsal). I can't remember what he said, but I believe it made a huge impact on him.
