2013 iHeartRadio Music Festival 'Do-Good' Performers

Adam Lambert is an avid champion for equal rights for the LGBT community and has partnered with many organizations to help advance equality. In the past few years, he has received GLAAD’s Davidson/Valentini Award for making a significant difference in promoting equal rights in the LGBT community; released “Aftermath,” a charity single, with proceeds going to Trevor Project; and earned the Equality Idol Award during Equality California’s Equality Awards. Lambert also celebrated his 31st birthday by supporting the We Are Family Foundation, a global nonprofit that creates and supports programs to inspire and educate children about respect, understanding and cultural diversity. Back in 2009, Adam Lambert was an American Idol hopeful who aimed to wow then-judges Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul and Kara Dioguardi so that theyd give him a coveted ticket to Hollywood. His talent was undeniable, so its no surprise he made it through with flying colors in season 8. (He went on to perform with Queen during the finale that season, where he was runner up to winner Kris Allen.)

Whats interesting, though, is Adams choice of song. He sang Queens "Bohemian Rhapsody" for his audition, not knowing that less than 5 years later, hed actually be fronting Queen on several dates across the pond. Now, Adam will make his US debut with Queen when he performs with the band at the 2013 iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas September 20th. Talk about coming full circle!

"Glee" guest star appearances can give a career a boost. Look at Gwyneth who showed new musical comedy talents as "Holly Holliday". She went on to sing "Forget You" (which she did on"Glee") with Cee Lo Green on the 2011 Grammy Awards. She also won a 2011 Emmy for her role. Kristin Chenoweth, who did a series of appearances in 2010 and then popped up again on a show in 2011, received Emmy nominations in both years.

So for me a limited series of appearances, if done right, is the way to go, and what I would hope for.
