I find it fascinating that two days before the concert, ticket prices have not come down. Maybe there will be a steep drop tomorrow but that seems risky as it cuts down the number of people who can at the last minute make arrangements to get there. Any thoughts about this? So thrilled that most of our Atoppers who wanted tickets got them. Except what about our wonderful GrandDucchess? She lives not far away and can drive. Maybe there will be enough of a drop so she can take advantage of her proximity. Theosgma, When the iHeart Radio Festival was announced, but before the tickets went on sale through ticketmaster, I found a link on the iHeart Radio website to a page about the cost of tickets through resellers for the past two years, which I think means since the festival first began. They had a chart and a written description that showed that the prices never went down. There were some minor day to day fluctuations, but overall the prices at resellers did not drop, and often rose. I thought it was interesting that they were posting a link to this info before the regular price tickets went on sale. I guess it was a sort of warning to try to get tickets through ticketmaster. Since you brought it up I wish I had saved it. I posted it on Atop shortly after I read it, but then deleted it from my bookmarks. It was interesting, as you mentioned, considering the target age of the audience, that the prices stayed so high. peace&love

Thanks for the info! One more question -- the reviews about the casino and hotel aren't that great -- have any of you guys stayed there ? I stayed there last summer. The rooms are nothing special. The swim pool is nice. And the casino area is rather smokey. I only stayed there because my sister wanted to live it up for a night. And I want to mention again that there are nice and much less expensive alternatives in Denton which is around 40 minutes or so south of Winstar. We have a room for $89 - two queens , good breakfast and amenities.

My thoughts on Winstar. The auditorium is flat. The last time I was in Section A, just in back of the VIP seats, and I had a good sightline to the stage. I could almost always see Adam. Plus, there are two giant screens, one on either side of the stage. I could look up there any time and see Adam close up in all his sweaty glory. It was fabulous.
I stayed at the hotel and found it more than comfortable. Nothing remarkable, but clean, comfortable, lots of hot water ... you get the picture.
This time I am staying in nearby Gainesville since the hotel is booked and so pricey nearby because it's New Year's Eve. Gainesville is just 12 miles south of Thackerville back across the TX border.

I think a lot of people who go to the casino stay there. It has all the usual suspect motels and because the chain hotels seems to go down hill fast, I would look for a newly constructed one. Denton is a nice quiet university town so it is a good option too. Just depends on how far you want to drive after the concert. ETA: Ha, juniemoon ... you beat me to it.
