I'm not having that much trouble with the other performers, while waiting for Adam + Queen.
I got me one of those newfangled things called a mute button.

You guys are a tough crowd. LOL. I think I will withhold judgement until we get someone I have heard before so I can judge the general sound quality. Well, I'm back from hibernation. Love "Lay Me Down" and will dl the whole TRUE album. It reminds me of the way I can listen to Moby's "Play" straight through. I think Adam's got an amazing voice too plus massive stage presence but I don't think every other band needs to be dissed. So much negativity! Nate Ruess and fun. have been around for ages. His duet with Pink, "Give me a reason" was also a big hit. He has a big voice - a bit shouty imo, but still kind of cool and is a good songwriter. As for Robin Thicke, he's incredibly talented and weirdly reminds me of Adam in some of his interviews. They're worth watching. Also a great songwriter - some of his collabs with Lil Wayne are beautiful. "Oh Shooter" is a fav. Maybe I'm just more sanguine about the other bands; it's not a competition. Thank you guys for the livestream link, it's really clear. That crowd will be wicked drunk by the time Queen+ rolls around lol. ________________________________ AGREED! And *rollingover with laughter* - YES, the crowd will be "wicked drunk" by then, and so will I :-)))

My #1 positive thoughts from this pairing with Fun is that Queen is genre and generation inclusive and that sets a really great example. That is one of the qualities I also like about Nile.
It also brings different groups of people together - A big win for all.
And we get to see Adam perform live.
Keith is on now. I like some country music, and he's cute:-)

Country music sends me to sleep. Sorry Keith nothing against you but I liked Fun better. Holding on to see Muse before my first nap.

Well, it is obvious that pop music is NOT primarily about voices. Or classically trained voices at least. Adam is the outlier in this genre. The one that doesn't fit. If I'm gonna listen to this concert I have to just start with that premise and set my ears to a different esthetic. However, I sure wish these singers would at least take some lessons in articulation. I can't understand at least half of the words in the songs. It's hard to get into music when I can't understand what they are singing about. .

Am loving this yahoo stream! It gives a little jump ever so often, but it is excellent. I guess sometime in the distant future, all concerts will be streamed, but I probably won't be around. haha
I'm surprised and amused at myself right now. I'm not a country fan, but I'm totally enjoying Keith Urban. And he sings on key!
Hope I can make it till Adam/Queen comes on. The dog is side-eyeing me though as it's HER bedtime.
