I hear you. I guess for me and I'm not saying it is happening here but I find nothing appealing about a bunch of middle age women acting like cats in heat over a gay guy who will never, ever, ever give you the time of day. *shrugs* I do kind of find it cute when he flirts with the young hot chicks though because basically what Adam is saying is " I know I'm hot but too bad you can't have me". lol. Frankly, I find this more than insulting. If you aren't saying it's happening here, then why are you saying it at all? I know 'this gay guy' will never give me the time of day. That does not mean I cannot, or should not, or will not think about or respond to his comments about 'going down'. Geez.

I don't agree that Adam should stop creating pop music, it is true that Pop does not require a great technicle voice. Pop is susposed to be fun not complex in anyway, most of the MV's that are big are fun and inspiring like Katy Perry and Carly rae jepsen, Teenage Dream, CMM e.t.c. I think Adam should maintain his current pop sound, but more fuse it with an alt rock sound, more pop/rock then electro-pop this time around. As while Adam's Pop Dance maybe better then anyone else, it is like Katy Perry doing opera, that's not her signature sound. I think Adam is known for his voice, but that's not to say he should be doing all songs that highlight his vocals, everyone knows he can sing, maybe a more Darker Rock fused with his current Pop stuff, with some electric guitar acoustic ballads, and the whole vibe of the album while still maintaining his current pop sound should be Rock n Roll, not every song but just the vibe. It looks like too Adam is collabing with different type's of artists, more in Alt Rock which is good JMO. Katy Perry doing opera.

I can't remember if this was posted, no new news, but it's dated today. www.kiss925.com/2013/09/25/avicii-on-adam-lambert-his-voice-is-just-insane/#.UkOwERMw9t0.twitterAvicii On Adam Lambert – “His Voice Is Just Insane”Posted on September 25, 2013 by Dave Blezard Adam Lambert has worked with Avicii and Nile Rodgers on a new track called ‘Lay Me Down’ for Avicii’s debut album ‘True’. Avicii had some high praise for the former American Idol contestant. “Adam has an amazing voice. More than anything, he’s also a great writer. But his voice is just insane! He’s like a reincarnation of Freddie Mercury. Actually more like a mixture of Freddie Mercury and Robert Plant.” Avicii also discussed how the collaboration with Chic’s Nile Rodgers and Adam Lambert came about the DJ said: “It was Nile Rodgers that kinda had the connection with him and brought him down to put the vocals on a demo that Nile and I did. We weren’t even intending to have him sing on the final track.” “But then he did such an amazing job on the demo, we were like, ‘Why go look for someone else?’ It’s brilliant as it is.” Avicci’s debut album “True” is available now!

Yes, as Adamrocks notes, more men of the sports-loving variety seem to be tweeting in appreciation of Adam's work with Queen. I have been seeing the same thing. These guys probably don't buy pop records/downloads, but they could possibly buy tickets if Adam does a concert near them, or at least say yes if their wives ask if they want to go to a concert.
Some here wondered if Adam's management was controlling/"toning him down." But I think Adam's appearance at the iHeart concert managed to be both simpler and more accessible to a lot of men, while still retaining plenty of rock star glam (like the boots and the belt). I think it was a WIN.

That does not mean I cannot, or should not, or will not think about or respond to his comments about 'going down'. Geez. Deep breath. Deep breath. This thread is an interesting sociological study on what is appropriate to talk about in terms of sexual activity, what is offensive, what is or should be private, and what is polite for fans of a celebrity. It would be great material for someone's masters thesis, for sure. My thought was a bit feminist. Why is it uncool/inappropriate for middle-aged women to be discussing the sexual thoughts and acts of a gorgeous gay guy - "cats in heat" is a particularly derogatory image in my mind - but there is a bajillion dollar industry catering to middle-aged men drooling and fantasizing and masturbating over gorgeous, busty, scantily clad young female models and cheerleaders in magazines, movies, TV, and commercials selling everything? Double standard rearing its ugly head again? Just sayin.

I definitely don't think of myself as a "cat in heat over a gay guy who will never, ever, ever give you the time of day"...I think of it as he has given me the incentive to go out there and find love for myself and not settle. I don't fathom that I will ever have sex with him but I do plan to have sex with someone...and I plan to find that someone. He gave me hope that there is someone out there for me. And I damn well will not sit on my ass and not try. I think what he means to me is that I deserve love too and need to try to find it and not give up. And I won't! #nodisrespectintended

I can assure you many people feel exactly the same as I do. It is insulting to Adam as a gay man to be constantly sexualized and admiring of his body parts. Think about it. If an older man did the same to a younger female we would be up in arms. Double standard? I get with Adam it's all in good fun but we all have opinions and I don't find my comment insulting at all. It's like my mother oogling my younger male friends. Just no....

I love hearing stories like this. From the Adam thread on DDD:
There was a young Oriental couple sitting next to us and the man, Peter, said he was there "just for Queen" He told us "I'll sit through anything just to hear Queen. We know Adam Lambert from Idol but I don't know how he's going to fit with Queen;I love Freddie" I asked Peter to do me a favor and at any time during their performance, turn to me and let me know HONESTLY what he thought and he promised to do so.As Queen took the stage and launched into BoRhap Peter's jaw dropped and he gave a big thumb's up and flashed a grin. And when Adam sang WWTLF, Peter said he got chills! Afterwards, while filing out of the venue,Peter said "Wow, he's got CRAZY vocals, I mean crazy!" His wife (Le) agreed. It was an awesome show.We enjoyed most of the acts actually (my other fave of the night was Muse) but Queen+Adam really slayed. No hyperbole needed.
