What was it like working with Adam?It was great. Adam has an amazing voice. More than anything, he’s also a great writer. But his voice is just insane! He’s like a reincarnation of Freddie Mercury. Actually more like a mixture of Freddie Mercury and Robert Plant. Is that what attracted you to working with Adam? His showmanship as a performer?
Yeah, I think so. It was Nile Rodgers that kinda had the connection with him and brought him down to put the vocals on a demo that Nile and I did. We weren’t even intending to have him sing on the final track. But then he did such an amazing job on the demo, we were like, “Why go look for someone else? It’s brilliant as it is.” There was another song we did with Adam. It was about going down on a girl. He was like “well it’s not for me, but I’ll sing it. I’ll do it for the people, I’ll go down for the people” One way or another we all go down! LMAO - the sacrifices an artist has to make...  Good Lord!! What's next!?! CHRISTMAS CAROLS???  |

I have the new QAL mp3 track minus STL done, but my home network is not working tonight. I will upload just as soon as I can. Apparently, it is just my wireless network that is down as my network works wired. So likely my wireless router is going out. Now I have to make time to install the new one I have sitting in a box. Well, at least the new one is much faster. So, there is now a mp3 file in Mega with "Adam-Only" in the name. This is the version without STL. It's in the same place at: tinyurl.com/iHRDancyG I also have all 3 mp3s uploading to MediaFire. It will be 30 minutes before it is done and available at: www.mediafire.com/folder/bel3ys9mj3667/IHROK, someone please tell me how my Mega link with the "!" was converted to the tinyurl so that I don't have to go research it! |

I am of the opinion that when Nile called Adam, he knew darn well, that version would never be a demo!! Nile is very, very smart!!!!  For Avicii, every song for the album had pretty much been decided and finished. So for him, in his mind, it was probably a demo to see if he wanted to use this new song! Like I said, Nile is very smart! If anyone hasn't read his book yet, I highly recommend it! |

Very interesting points, but I wouldn't put past Roger and Brian to do a mini residency set in Vegas and a few choice places like Madison Square Garden in the future, before they get too old. Roger was looking tired in Vegas, but I am sure it was jet lag. With it being an 8 hour time difference between London and Vegas, and it's not an easy task to do a change-over that quickly. Bruno Mars is doing a 8 mini residency series in Vegas, so anything is possible. Talon, yesterday, I learned something new. I didn't realize that WWTLF was written by Bri. No wonder it is so near and dear to his heart. Nothing but respect for Queen. They have always been my favorite band with Freddie, and also David Bowie. But I have always scewed to the left. so Adam definitely fits the bill. For some reason I have a hard time picturing a Vegas residency. I could be wrong but it doesn't seem to me that it would fit. A few choice gigs in MSG and the like? Absolutely when the time is right I could see something like that before they need their walkers  So hopefully they don't lose Adam's number! Roger is definitely feeling up to tour as he mentions in promotion for his solo album but I'm sure that will all be quite close to home in the UK  As far as WWTLF goes...what might surprise you and what surprised me even after I had listened a few times is that on the studio version it is BRIAN who sings the first verse. AND then he comes in for a line in the bridge as well! There is a full Freddie version in the vault and indeed in Highlander, when they play the track it's the full Freddie version but the normal album/single version has Brian on the first verse Do you have video links for both versions? |

Heads up people! This may have been posted earlier but I just got an email that Avicii will be headlining the Hollywood Bowl on Nov. 9. Tickets on sale this Friday at Ticketmaster, but my email says presale started today at 10:00AM PST. Go to Ticketmaster & use password FADE for access to presale. I'm thinking that he HAS to do Lay Me Down & of course Adam HAS to be there to sing it, right? Might be worth going to & of course anything at the Hollywood Bowl is always great. |
