too funny, I got a young Mick Jagger vibe from Nate -- not in the voice but in his staging As someone who worked the 1972 Rolling Stones American Tour (last 32 concerts, Mick was 28-29 then) -- no, just no. Nate (now 31) is nothing like young Mick. Just no, no, no. Adam is more like Mick -- although not as frenetic. ** Nate has enormous enthusiasm and bounds around the stage -- reminds me a bit of Adam Levine. I guess I haven't seen enough of him (Nate) but that was my vibe from STL -- all the running around and the mouth wide open. |

I'm one of those who did not "notice" anything about him that I'd call gay. I finally saw a couple kissing photos but didn't look any farther than that online for awhile. For all I knew those were photos from a show (theatrical) or a few straight guys acting crazy for the camera. So even though I didn't assume one way or another, no one should have to announce it. I'm still not sure why he and others say it was so obvious on the show. I've decided I'm either really dense or pretty open minded. You mean, "I don't know very many men who wear nail polish", "I think you are theatrical", "I liked dress up, not soccer" weren't clues? lol I was online so early in the process that year that I don't remember when I "knew". I think a some people may have guessed during his audition with the facial expressions and closed eyes during his singing. I think Jacob from TWOP was one of those. I may not have felt it until I read it. And I don't remember what performance led my hubby to say "I bet he's gay" but by that time I answered yeppers. The answers: Lots of goth guys and rockers have worn nail polish and aren't gay. I know lots of theatrical guys (and guys in the theater) who are not gay. I have never thought that boys playing dress-up meant they were gay. Lots of little boys wear costumes of super heros, cowboys, army, etc. And lots of very popular music artists wear really "out there" clothing--not gay, I think, but don't know (Will.i.am, Lenny Kravitz, Cee Lo Green) ![]() Maybe it's just me. |
