I LOVED Janis....when she died, I remember I was working in the salon...my first hairdressing job...and we all stood about in shock....it was so sad. I played that Pearl album until it needed replacing. Then I bought the cassette when that came out, and replaced not so long ago with a cd. The problem is that the production values aren't really there anymore...our ears get spoiled. Alison Iraheta has a little of her in her....but not the rebelliousness. Beth Hart is pretty darn close.....  |

I'm always confused when the "real" version comes on the radio and it's not him singing. I was thinking about Eli's video of wrecking ball. I'm wishing that the epic covers that Adam does got more publicity for him. I know it's highly unlikely, but I wish he would do what all my musician friends do and record/video himself doing songs and put them on the internet! This Stay cover has almost 670,000 views so it did get a decent amount of attention though not as much as it should have considering how extremely beautiful it is. |

I think the difference is when Miley or her ilk portray sex, it is just that a portrayal, a representation, just playing a character . When Adam is sexual... it just is. Sometimes it is a character and then we get the little boy smile but most of the time it just is authentic. |
