I love Adam singing this song. I'm always confused when the "real" version comes on the radio and it's not him singing. I was thinking about Eli's video of wrecking ball. I'm wishing that the epic covers that Adam does got more publicity for him. I know it's highly unlikely, but I wish he would do what all my musician friends do and record/video himself doing songs and put them on the internet! Could the wonderful experts here at Adamtopia help me understand why Eli would get 500,000 hits in two days on Wrecking Ball and Adam barely over 600,000 on Stay after many months? Is it the song? Don't get me wrong, I do not begrudge Eli this success at all, just curious as to what the difference might be (especially when Adam is clearly the superior singer in my opinion). Do you think Adam is disliked? NO I DO NOT THINK ADAM IS DISLIKED, I THINK ADAM IS LOVED BY MILLIONS..WRECKING BALL IS ON TOP OF THE CHARTS AND MILEY HAS GOTTEN ALL KINDS OF PR.. ALSO ADAM AND HIS FANS HAVE HELPED ELI GET THOSE FIGURES . HE IS ALSO THE NEW BOY AND MANY IN THE GAY COMMUNITY ARE TAKING AN INTEREST. TO ADD HE'S CUTE WITH A WONDERFUL VOICE. THERE ARE LOTS OF SINGERS OUT THERE ,NO COMPETITION NEEDED IMHO&ADAM IS DOING WONDERFULLY WELL IN HIS CAREER.I JUST LOVE THAT ADAM PROMOTES NEW SINGERS... WHAT A GREAT GUY

On Eli Lieb's video going viral -- this is not a one-off but is the result of his relentless work to promote his work on YouTube. It is not an overnight success story. One the general topic of viral videos --- Adam does really well but it is not recognized because fans fragment the videos -- I found 91 videos of Adam performing Stay on YouTube and I stopped counting. In order for a video to "go viral", it has to move from 1 person to many people over and over. Like this..... It sounds like this would be simple, but it is not. The challenge is moving to that third degree of separate. Very few thing do that. But this video did move beyond fans..... Adam Lambert - If I Had You by AdamLambertVEVO 39,058,527 views

Often a clearer/better version comes along and I enjoy it, but perhaps don't share again. If Adam was doing more "official yet casual" videos that were one of a kind, we might be able to get to that 3rd degree more easily.

I can totally relate to Nile's missing guitar predicament. Our instruments can be as meaningful to us musicians as a beloved pet or even family member. It can become an extension of ourselves. I can't imagine having the same instrument your entire life like Nile, Dr. Bri, and B.B. King. It's a coincidence that CASSIE nastily posted the photo below to torture me after I posted a revealing Adam Levine picture a couple days ago. This broken violin did make my heart skip a beat because of a very bad accident I had with my violin. I didn't know if it could be repaired properly and certain the tone would change. So it was a bit like a death. After I yelled, cursed, hyperventilated, and cried (all in public at a rehearsal), I went into mourning for a while. But my highly skilled luthier brought it back to life, splinter by splinter, over the next 5 months. At one point he asked me to come in to look at the progress. I didn't want to go see it all torn apart. It's a bit like watching your child have surgery. But I went and gulped. Okay, I'm done. That get's my stomach in a knot. Stressful time. Oh dear God don't post a picture like this! Just looking at it makes me start feeling sick to my stomach. Its been years since I've played regularly, and yet I ~still~ have fears of this. ACK!! (Sayz the person with the skinned hands because I'm such a freaking clutz. Concrete is hard.)
