There has been a literal ton or press about Adam’s upcoming role on GLEE. For the entire, super-long list, check it here:
That was general buzzy news, but no one knew very much about who Adam would play or what he would do and sing. The recent promo answered many questions. And the response has been almost universally positive. Yes, there are always a few worried fans and a few perennial doubters, but this time it is almost universal love!
As of midnight, the official promo video had 412,389 views, 6,762 likes and only 68 dislikes – 99% likes. That is YouTube cute kitten territory! [For comparison, “10 Cutest Cat Moments uploaded on March 6, 2009, a 17,690,972 cat video monster has 92,965 likes and 4,154 dislikes – 95.7% likes. I am pretty sure from reading the comments the likes are due mostly to Demi Lovato fans, Adam twisty-ness and voice, and Kurt’s eminently rewatchable expression!
But wait, there’s more!
The official video is one of over 100 identical videos posted online – many on YouTube.
And then there is the press promoting this episode – and since it will not be broadcast until November 7, 2013, there will be a bigger promo push as the air date gets closer. Adam got STAR billing in the promo and he is getting treated as the episode’s guest star in all the press. Here are a few examples:
