Oh, that is heartbreaking. I just don't understand why, in a world full of hate and violence, anyone would be against two people loving each other.

You're right. It sounds more like a documentary.

You're right. It sounds more like a documentary. This is the show that Adam auditioned for when they staged it in Las Vegas years ago. He didn't even make the initial cut. Only one of the terrible decisions the production company made, as the show crashed and burned quickly. How ironic and amusing that Adam couldn't get a role in a MUSICAL featuring the ICONIC MUSIC OF QUEEN, but gets repeatedly invited to front the ACTUAL band itself. Tee hee.

I spoke to the Make A Wish people and the event is sold out and has been for weeks with 50 people (now 51 with me!) on the waiting list. She says there is pretty much zero chance. Because of fire laws, they can't sell standing room after dinner for just the entertainment. There is the after party in the nightclub. She said Adam is free to attend if he wants but there is absolutely no guarantee. Doesn't sound like he would perform. She said he goes on late at the dinner. Sigh! The one time I am in Florida for an Adam event and can't get in. However, I am going to try to do some networking. I have a family member who knows high fliers. Keep your fingers crossed for me! I had the same conversation -- with two different people. My fingers are crossed for you. I wish I still lived down there! Adam is very unlikely to go to this after party -- although he is invited. He will be doing a M&G with the Platinum sponsors, then performing, then --- well he is in Miami. I really think he is more likely to pop up on South Beach. Adam is scheduled to perform at 9:45PM and will do a short set. I was an exec for a sponsor of this event about 10 years ago and attended. It was not a really fun event for me -- lots of focus on the auction and Miami old line "society". But Adam changes everything. I can get a seat at the ball at a sponsor's table -- trying to decide if I really want to go to Miami for 4 songs? [Do not encourage me!]
[Please Adam -- book a whole concert not on NYE! And can it be near Ohio!]

In case there are others like me who can't see the embedded interview clip here's the link ht tp://www.dailymotion.com/video/x160gen_bridegroom-sends-strong-message_news You can copy it and paste to a new tab, remove the space in 'http' and open to play. Now I understand that the blank space instead of the dailymotion video might be my problem only. You see, I was fumbling around all possible settings in order to get rid of the most tedious iTunes prompt that appeared a couple of days ago. Every time I refreshed or clicked to another page or place on Atop I had to click the prompt away too. Apparently I found a filter as it's gone now - but at the same time some content is filtered too... Well that would be ok if it were only on this site but it filters other sites too, also twitter pages which is not so cool anymore because there I find most of the links. :( Once again, I wish I were more tech-savvy

Since "Make A Wish" is not a charity that Adam has been actively promoting, nor is its purpose one in which Adam has shown abiding interest (not criticizing them or Adam at all.... he can't support every worthy charity), I am assuming Adam is getting paid some fairly big bucks to show up and sing a couple of songs.
Why? I'm not complaining, mind you. And they couldn't ask for better entertainment. But the shindig was sold out before Adam was announced so they are not using him as a draw to make more money. Why would the sponsors pay him $$$ that could go to the kids instead? What's the upside of that move? What do they gain? Is Adam that huge of a publicity magnet that they think they will get lots more press than without him? I don't get it.

I am NOT encouraging you - just have a question. Have you ever regretted going to an Adam event? Do you think Adam would love to see a couple of "regulars" at this type of "old line society" function?
