This is the youtube that inspired the film, and maybe Adam... Have tissue ready. quite powerful. It makes me so sad and angry that there are people who can be so cruel. I hope their "beliefs" bring them great joy. :/ |

I had the same conversation -- with two different people. My fingers are crossed for you. I wish I still lived down there! Adam is very unlikely to go to this after party -- although he is invited. He will be doing a M&G with the Platinum sponsors, then performing, then --- well he is in Miami. I really think he is more likely to pop up on South Beach. Adam is scheduled to perform at 9:45PM and will do a short set. I was an exec for a sponsor of this event about 10 years ago and attended. It was not a really fun event for me -- lots of focus on the auction and Miami old line "society". But Adam changes everything. I can get a seat at the ball at a sponsor's table -- trying to decide if I really want to go to Miami for 4 songs? [Do not encourage me!]
[Please Adam -- book a whole concert not on NYE! And can it be near Ohio!]
Do you think Adam would love to see a couple of "regulars" at this type of "old line society" function?   This!  |

Lots of good stuff today, so I don't know why im focusing on the negative, but seeing Adam’s name combined with those other “celebrities” in that Mthemovement news bite kind of depressed me.
So, to cheer myself up, I’ll share my current secret Adam wish(es).
Adam is keeping more seekrits from us! He’s doing all sorts of exciting musical collaborations and things we know nothing about. In fact, he’s signed already to a new label! It’s not one of the big ones, though, so instead of making their announcement now they’re waiting until the Glee episode premiere to get as much media bang for their buck as they can. Get ready! But, because it’s not one of the major labels, they are making Adam their top priority. Album release is set for April or May, with the lead single coming out late January/early February.
And here’s another secret…Adam can’t be on Idol this upcoming year. No, it would be a conflict….because actually he’s worked something out with the Voice instead! Ha! There are two episodes coming up this fall where Cee Lo isn’t available, see. Prior commitments, can’t be helped. (Or maybe that rape charge will stick to him after all.*). So they’ve asked Adam to fill his judges chair for those two episodes. They’ll make a bunch of jokes about how everyone mistakes Lambert for Levine and vice versa, and how he’s married to Blake’s wife anyway so he fits right in. It’ll be awesome. He’ll fit this in between a few more Glee episodes before the Christmas break. And the TPTB already have him slated to sit in one of the judges chairs for the NEXT season of the voice in the spring, replacing Cee Lo for good. You know, right when his new label releases his next album. Featuring lots of Nile Rodgers and slick production by Avicii. Brian May and Roger Taylor are featured on a song or two as well.
And, because this IS what the smaller labels do (as far as I can tell), he’ll hit the tour circuit to promote his new record as soon as it’s released. No more sucking up to radio, forget it. Smallish tour is OK, because he’ll be promoting new music. (I’m also not opposed to him opening for big league pop star either, a la Katy or Pink or Gaga or someone like that….but I can’t seem to make that fit with my current fantasy here, different labels…)
Yes. I do dream. A lot. I don’t dream big, but I do try to dream practical, lol. I mean, this is all reasonable, isn’t it?? I don’t really want an answer, you’ll crush my dreams! :D
*I don’t mean to make fun of this, but I did read the other day that rape charges have been brought against Cee Lo. And I think he’s just icky, either way.
