Sleepwalker.......new title of Bonnie McKee's new song...or at least of that video. A little close to home isn't it? Surprised...although same name songs do exist. Well maybe if Bonnie's version takes off......and those googling Sleepwalker, will also get Adam's version....and ....it will get some hits. How is Bonnie doing? How did her American Girl single do and the album in general? She is not meeting expectations. Sony and Dr. Luke have a lot invested in her. Her first single, American Girl, peaked at #87 on the Hot 100. They gave it away for free for a while if fans liked her FB page but she only has 30K likes so that did not steal all of her sales. It just did not sell. Mostly it charted on radio points for Adult Pop and Top 40 airplay. ETA: Heavy promo push for her which did not convert into sales. A really bad sign to a label. They are trying to generate some buzz for her and build a fanbase with a "non-single" track release "Sleepwalker" which will not be promoted to radio. Then I guess they will try a new single to lead into her album. Her album was pushed back from Fall 2013 to a maybe Spring 2014 release date. ETA: I see I was way late and this was already posted. But wanted to add that it really does take more than radio to have a hit song. Unless she has a killer song in the wings, I do not think this one is happening. |

On an off topic note, but related because this wouldn't be happening if it wasn't for Adam.. Taking the train to Toronto to the AGO to see the David Bowie exhibit tomorrow!!!Woohoo!! ![]() Let us know all about it..I'd love to see this exhibit.  HAVE FUN!!! ![]() Where is the exhibit? I am going to Toronto November 6th and would love to see it. Will it be open that long? |

She was right next to me. She was just a teenager; despite the fact she blew out my ears ill cut her some slack...she was just REALLY excited! Omigosh that was a good show (lol, and the only Adam concert i've ever been too so I'm probably biased) I was my favorite Adam concert -- with the rain and fireworks it was just a total event! So it was a great Adam concert to be at. And I must have been close to you because she was several rows behind me and I think to the left -- I was in the center. I will def travel back to Canada to see Adam again so maybe we will meet. It is a short hope to Canada for me! I was left of centre, about 6 rows back. I never did meet any other atopians at that show; but not for lack of trying. Didn't matter, met lots of other great people though, had so much fun.. God, the rain, it was like a religious experience. :D |

Bonnie's album won't be released until 2014 ....and her 'American Girl' single peaked at 87 on the US Billboard Hot 100. It peaked on Top 40 radio at about 26 but sales never took off. Once Roar came out, American Girl dropped fast. Last week, it went from 36 to 49 in one week! I feel bad for Bonnie. SadSmilieOh and her album was supposed to come out during the Fall and got pushed back until Feb. or possibly even Spring. Thanks for the info |

When Adam said that Starchild was cut from the band by being too 'over-the-top' and that he could relate to that I had this moment (for me) of clarity. I saw a lot of disappointed comments on the articles where people seemed to think that if Adam didn't make the band, that would be the last we'd see of him I think the original hint of Nemesis is probably the correct one. When Starchild shows up for the audition Kurt is so eaten up with envy of his fabulousness, that he rejects him. This is an uncharacteristic act of meanness that he is eventually punished for by having Starchild continually turning up, wowing everyone and reminding him (by conscience) of what he did, 'cos that's what 'nemesi' do.
I wonder if the storyline is even more explicit in that, instead of Starchild having to 'dumb down' to be accepted, he actually eventually wins everyone over by being his own, brilliant self. ![]() That's my version and I'm sticking to it, until, as usually happens, events show me otherwise.  Am I Gleefull or Gleeless..  See, I missed a lot. I'll go with your theory, Justgill! BAM! Great scenario. ![]() Now that we know the plot, I see the Nemesis Theory playing out nicely. I'm still wondering if Adam was supposed to spill the beans on the first episode....He's been pretty mum about just about everything lately. I wondered about the bean spilling. I was really surprised but no one commented on it. I can't imagine though he would say it if it was supposed to be mum |

So hard to break into this business even with a good push. Bonnie does not need to break into the business exactly -- she has a ton of industry support -- just seems to lack fans. She only have 30K FB likes and 129K Twitter followers. Since she has co-written so many huge hits and has a substantial acting career -- the lack of fans is odd. She is trying to compete with Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Rhianna, Taylor Swift etc. etc. Plus, there are the new young artists -- Lorde, Arianna Grande, Demi, Miley, etc. So hard to get attention. And I can't figure out where her fans are supposed to come from. Very few female artists make successful entries into pop music at 29. |
