Adam's episode of GLEE is running during Sweeps week -- so the competition was going to be tough. Well it just got worse! The Voice will air 3 times during the first week of live shows, beginning with The Live Playoffs The Top 20 Part 1 on Monday November 4, Part 2 on Tuesday November 5 and The Results on Thursday November 7 (9/8 pm) (Airing opposite Glee on FOX.).
So Glee will be doing well if it holds 4.5 million views. *sigh* It's never going to be easy for Adam, is it? Anyway, in the end he will win! He is the best! *crosses finfgers for the number of the views to be big* It is the most competitive night of the week for Prime time TV Viewers (Thursday) and it is the most competitive week of the year (Sweeps week). He will have a lot of viewers and get a ton on press coverage. But this episode of Glee is unlikely to set ratings records. The ratings do not matter that much to Adam. CBS has "Big Bang Theory" [close to 18 million viewers, 17 in the demo] and The Millers [11-12 million] as a lead in to their strong 9:00 hour Fox has X Factor with soft ratings [6.5 million headed down] as the lead in to Glee. NBC had nothing going on on Thursday -- so it was expected they would move Voice into Thursday. The 9:00PM/9:30PM line up is... FOX Glee (with Adam Lambert) ABC Grey's Anatomy CBS The Crazy Ones/Two and a Half Men NBC The Voice - results show CW The Originals I think Glee should beat the ratings from the last normal show -- Oct 3, 2013 (not Cory tribute). 10.03.13 -- FOX Glee 18-49 rating 1.6/share 5; 4.42 million viewers -- but with the added competition from NBC, looks like he will get the core Glee audience and some old Idol fans. But many Voice viewers are old Idol fans. It will be interesting to watch how the numbers come in.

I watched it and no Adam mention. Roger was really on the programme promoting the UK leg of the Queen Extravaganza so they showed Marc Martel's audition and a couple of performance clips etc.

*sigh* It's never going to be easy for Adam, is it? Anyway, in the end he will win! He is the best! *crosses finfgers for the number of the views to be big* I think the best viewing on 'The Voice' is actually the battle rounds. I know I lose interest when it gets to the live playoffs. The results shows are just a lot of repetition, singing with the judges and guest stars. You can tune into the last five minutes to see who gets cut. Unless 'The Voice' guest star is huge I don't see 'Glee' losing viewers. What are 'The Voice' result show ratings usually like? Last Thursday NBC had....NBC Sean Saves the World 1.1/3 3.36 million viewers. Even with a drop in ratings, The Voice will beat that but a lot. Plus, the Voice is up around +2 million from last Fall. There was no comparable Thursday night results show schedule last year. The Season 3 "Top 12, Live Results" November 13, 2012 Tuesday 8:00pm had 11.15 viewers. If they deliver 8 million on Thursday, it will change the ratings dynamic. The Voice is the only LIVE program in the time slot.

URGH! I picked that up from a blog! I should know better! Deadline would not get it wrong! I will go dig up the press release! ETA: Futon Critic also has it at 9:00PM "THE VOICE" "THE LIVE PLAYOFFS, RESULTS" 11/07/2013 (09:00PM - 10:01PM) (Thursday) : LIVE RESULTS - America's vote will put through the top two artists from each team and the coaches will each save one artist leaving them to move on to the next phase of the competition. Carson Daly ("Last Call with Carson Daly") hosts. TV-PG L ETA #2: NBC announced they were doing a special results show at 9:00PM on Thursday 11.7. They also announce they were replacing a cancelled program scheduled for 8:00PM with a previously announced special episode of The Voice. Perhaps it is actually changing as they deal with their cancelled programs. It is a weird schedule -- Live competition on Monday and Tuesday, then results on Thursday. Perhaps they will do a recap at 8:00PM and the live show at 9:00PM. They have a winning show, I hope they do not push it too much for viewers. 3 nights of The Voice in one week is a lot!

I can't look up the schedule for Nov. 7 myself, too early, so I guess we'll have to wait and see. Futon Critic listing is more comprehensive so is probably correct.
