My personal trainer thought SHE had some news about Adam for me last night. She says "I saw that guy you like on an infomercial a few days ago. I think it was for Proactive acne stuff." I bit for a nano-second, then said "No way. I would know about this." She assured me that it was Adam. I continued to assure her that it wasn't. So this morning I googled "Adam/Proactive". Sure enough, I found a youtube of Levine's Proactive infomercial. OTT Response, since it is a slow day. Scroll worthy. I was going to actually post this the other day when there was a discussion about Levine. I have seen the infomercial, and yes indeed Adam Levine is plugging Proactive, as Levine has had acne problems. Unfortunately, that is the one of the few things he has in common with our Adam. The other being that they are both singers. But the comparisons stop there. Levine does have a gay brother, and he has been pro LGBT, so I have to give kudos there. Levine is not my type of guy. But to each their own. If you have severe cases of acne, proactive does not help. It is all related to hormones and not foods. Some antibiotics will help, but the only thing to keep acne in abeyance is Accutane, a controlled drug. I have to agree with our Adam acne is the bain of many a teenager and adults. It does wonders for self-esteem. NOT. My acne was not too bad as a teenager but it became severe in my early 20s. My mom had also had severe acne and had scars. I was worried I was also going to have scars plus it is just another way for people to judge you. Accutane is not a no-brainer decision to make because it has serious side effects, but I did go with it and it helped. I forget whether I did one or two courses of the drug, but it permanently got rid of all but occasional pimples such as anyone would have. The side effects include severe skin dryness, being very easily sunburned, and most of all that you absolutely must not get pregnant (or, I assume, get anyone else pregnant) while you are on the drug because it causes horrible birth defects. Kind of scary stuff!

The sad thing is that if anyone who is good, MSG or Barclays sell out in nano-seconds. Then if you're lucky, you can pay scalpers mega bucks for nosebleed seats. :(

I agree on both. I want to have Queen collab in the US -- preferable in the middle of the US so lots of fans can get to the show. And I also love that Adam -- I really wish I knew who did it. If it does happen, I would not be too hopeful on the middle of the US. They are far more likely to be short and sweet. A tour of the MAJOR markets. NY, LA, Miami, Boston, San Francisco. You'd get a shot at Dallas and maybe Chicago....But I'm betting they would want to tie it in with a Japanese tour like they did last time. If you look at Queen + Paul Rodgers gig list in 05 when they did something similar it was Aruba, NY/NJ, L.A. and then 6 dates in Japan. But who knows...I've been wrong before If this wikipedia article is correct, Queen + Paul Rodgers did only 2 shows in the U.S. (NY metro and LA) in October 2005, before heading off to Japan. But then they came back to North America in March 2006 and did 20+ shows in the U.S. and 2 in Canada (Toronto and Vancouver): en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queen_+_Paul_Rodgers_TourI do agree that Queen is unlikely to be interested in doing a big tour like this again. As Brian said, he and Roger did a lot of touring in the past, and they have many other things going on in their lives now. They don't need to do a big tour for financial reasons, to secure their legacy or to keep their music in the public eye (the "Queen Extravaganza" and "We Will Rock You" shows are helping to do that). Also, although Adam clearly enjoys working with Queen, he probably wants to have his own career as his primary focus, especially if he releases an album next year. I would imagine that a U.S. tour would be similar to what they did in Europe last summer -- maybe 3-4 cities and then, as you suggest, possibly a handful of dates in Japan/other Asian countries. I hope it happens, and I hope everyone here gets to see Queen + Adam live.

LMAO, it's 8pm here, and in one hour Rihanna will start her concert here in Israel. It's OT, but I just heard on the entertainment news that Rihanna was supposed to land in Israel this AM, but for some reason her private plane only landed in the afternoon, and even then Rihanna insisted on going to the Dead Sea. Meaning, it didn't even occur to her to go to the venue and have a soundcheck. What can I say, people are different.

Not to worry Ladyoz, I saw your post early this morning. Thanks for the attribution, it's nice knowing that an artist is acknowledged for her work.

Adam and Queen need to fight the good battle for us!
How much pull would Adam have for his paid up fans...and Queen for their fan club? Adam needs a hammer!
Gotta stand up to Ticketmaster!
versus Tickets for VIP's.... okay it is gonna happen.... general audience who admires the group/artist, should come after decent seats to fan club members who support the artists. (dream on!...oh I guess that is Aerosmith)
ps...hope you are doing well sugaree!Doing great, stampsgal. Thanks for asking. It just so happens that our fitness trainer was Billy Joel's trainer for several years and they still keep in touch (she just had front row seats to his surprise concert here that was sold out in nano-seconds. She sat with his girlfriend, manager and promoter. I'm gonna beg her to beg him to help get tickets. If not, I'm already trying to think of ways to talk DH into spending the big bucks.

I've heard so many disappointing reports about Rihanna's attitude towards her live shows. She's late, she gives a lazy performance, she doesn't seem to care about the fact that she's cheating her paying audience out of their money; why should she care as people keep buying her tickets and her music. I can't say for sure that this is all true; I've never been to one of her shows. But I've certainly seen and heard these comments from different people over time.
