You would never suspect Durbin had Asperger's if you saw him on AI during his season. He was more than fine. However, you could tell he had some minor twitches (Tourette's) from some of his funny scrunched up faces. Maybe that's why he appeared to make a face when Lance mentioned Adam was the winner.

I am from the same general area as Durbin. I don't know him or know anyone who does, and am not a fan. However I read about him in the local newspaper starting before he tried out for idol. The stories had to do with his participation in events for Tourette's and Autism spectrum program fundraisers. He sometimes sang with a very popular and well thought of local/regional group of adults who performed covers of whole albums, so his participation in these fundraisers was local news. He also performed with a children's theater program for years and, as we've known to happen in other children's theater programs, he helped the younger kids and was a team player. The articles always mentioned that he was in special education for Tourette's and Aspergers, and that he was working on the social aspects of these difficulties. He got lots of local support while on Idol and the Idol tour, and he continued to make appearances for the Tourette's and Aspergers groups - lots of photos of him holding little kids or signing things for kids and their parents. Although he can certainly put his foot in his mouth and come across like a self-focused clod, he does try to give back to the community. Since some people were mentioning the social dysfunction issues I thought I'd give this info as background. peace&love

Virg Glamhopper virg1877Check out Brian May on Photography, ‘We Will Rock You’ and Adam Lambert ultimateclassicrock.com/brian-may-interview-2013/?trackback=twitter_mobile … @ultclassicrock Adam part... I love your work with Adam Lambert. I’m a big fan of his, and I’m so impressed by his vocal abilities and talent — he’s such a charismatic singer. Can we expect any more touring next year with him?I would love it to happen. Since we did the iHeartRadio Festival, there’s been a lot of talk and yes, we’re looking at it to see what we could do. I don’t think we want to press the button to do nine months on the road like we used to do, because we did that for so many years, but I think a few choice dates could be great. We’re looking at it, and I certainly hope that we’d be able to come up with a scheme that works. Yeah, we love Adam, we really do. Like you say, he’s the whole deal — he’s an extraordinary singer with an extraordinary instrument. He’s an entertainer, he’s original and he’s a nice guy. That’s very important these days. If you’re going to work with someone, you’ve got to enjoy them as a person and we certainly do.

When idiots do so little research, they write "Originally from the small town of Saskatchewan, Canada,,,," I find it hard to read any further!! Saskatchewan is a province and larger than most US states.....seriously, that is so slack....and there is no 'town' of Saskatchewan ... Yeah - I'll admit I got a giggle out of that too! Now, admittedly there may be a tiny town called "Saskatchewan" in the same way that in the state of Georgia there exists both a "Rome" and "Athens", neither of which is actually an ancient city sporting marble columns. But if there is, I can't find it.
