Gah - I got about 30 trick-or-treaters in the first 45 minutes of darkness (most in 3 huge batches), and now I'm waiting about 20 minutes between door knocks.
No idea where my kid and husband are - they went off with a gaggle of kids from our section of street - but I thought they'd be back by now since its starting to rain. Aaaaand they're back! Sorefooted, dripping wet, and cold, but with enough candy to gag the proverbial goat. I was going to swap with my husband for another trip out, but no one wants to go traipse further in the rain. Plus, the purveying of the candy bucket has already begun. Think I might go outside just to recover the flashlights, and then pop the kidlet in the tub. Gonna give another few minutes in case of stragglers, but think we're about ready to shut down the candy shop for ze night. Normally we keep everything going until 8:30pm, but I can't imagine we're going get any more kids at this point. Even the teens aren't generally motivated enough to keep slogging once it gets wet.

OMG, Chapf, these are so-o-o-o-o clever...and Adam smiley swinging from the chandelier...LMAO...and you made an avi for dontshakemytree too. WOW! Dontshakemytree...love your new avi...so good to see you give up the ghost. Q3 I was so surprised to see only about 20% of top 100 on twitter are humans. Lilybop your Marry The Night video is great...love it. Not too many kids out tonight in my area, only had 13 so far...meanwhile my DD gets 300-400. She's in a very nice subdivision and kids pile in every year. I decided to stay home this year, early work tomorrow and I didn't want to drive through that mass of kids at my DD. (Also, I'm watching great tennis matches) Can't stop listening to MTN...so addictive. Really looking forward to seeing Adam's costume for tonight.

Still waiting for the first batch to show up. Just a bit after 5:00 here so still daylight and there is a heavy drizzle. I'l be a little upset if no one shows. I have the decorations up outside, I made like a gazillion special candy/treat bags, and even dressed up to answer the door and scare the little tricksters. Oh well, I can just sit here in front of the computer and wait for the first pictures from Bootsy Bellows.

Happy Halloween! We're done trick or treating for the night, porch lights off, pumpkins blown out, now contemplating the vast mountains of candy my two kids brought home. My daughter can't eat wheat, which means half her haul is inedible to her. (You would not believe how prevalent wheat flour is in various kinds of candy and chocolate!!) But she makes out like bandit because I buy that candy off of her. She likes money better than candy anyway. Back on topic: can not wait to see pix of Adam in whatever costume he's wearing tonight!

Never knew what to do with myself avi-wise.......spent one evening and a bottle of wine in the "make your own avi" section and ended up with a hideous image, complete with uni-brow! And Lady M!! What you contribute here would NEVER be called spamming! I call it....filling a need!! Thanks and congratulations!!
