Pressparty @pressparty 50m @adamlambert ADAM LAMBERT promises that 2014 will be "intense": 'Buckle up!'. mrkt.ms/17uqC3r 'Trespassing' superstar Adam Lambert took to his official Twitter page earlier this morning (October 31) and opened up about the new paths his fame has shown him over the past year. Writing on the social networking site after a long day on the 'Glee' set, he explained that the character he plays on the hit U.S. musical drama (Elliott 'Starchild' Gilbert) is a quiet 'parody' of his younger self: "Many of u are wondering about Starchild's look. Think in some ways it's kind of a parody of some of my past fashion (steps and MISsteps) lol. He's trying way too hard w his lewk. Its tacky and doesn't fit well. I think that's part of his charm- he is SO committed, w so much drive. I def see myself in this character." "In critics' eyes I've oft missed the mark, but in my own world, I've had a great time playing dress up. That's 1 of the differences tween being an artist or entertainer. 1 is more concerned with what others think. Neither r wrong - Just 2 paths." He then added that he's grateful for the constant support of his Glamberts and can't wait for 2014 to finally roll around as it's set to be an "intense" and busy year for him: "I love u all for staying on this journey with me and embracing my evolution. Let's buckle up for some intense forward motion in 2014 y'all!" www.youtube.com/watch?v=-I7fPHgLQf8

Just curious. I am not a Gleek. Watched the first season and that was it. I know they typically have lots of big name guest stars. There have been several female guest stars who have been legitimate, trained singers. Kristin Chenowith comes to mind. What about male guest stars? Have they had many? Were they actors, pop stars, and or legitimate, trained singers? From what I have seen and listened to, they haven't featured legitimate, trained male singers. Is the casting of Adam unusual? I guess the closest comparison would be Ricky Martin. He was cast as a relief teacher but he did get to sing and dance! (can't recall the song or storyline, but someone else may do!) I can also remember Neil Patrick Harris appeared a couple of times and he was great! I was disappointed with Ricky's appearance only because I didn't think the songs he sang showed off his real talent. He is a very good singer. And, sadly, he didn't break into a great dance the way that only he can do. He did a nice job though.
