Adam Lambert's first song from 'Glee' has leaked - and it's a Lady Gaga cover!Adam Lambert has a guest-starring role on Glee this season, and we're finally learning some information about his character. According to Chris Colfer, who plays Kurt Hummel on the hit Fox show, Adam's role is a villain! "He’s going to play my nemesis," Chris confessed about Adam's character, who has the unusual moniker Starchild. The two characters clash when Starchild auditions to join Kurt's band. 'Glee' to End Next Season, Creator Ryan Murphy Confirms Starchild first appears in next week's episode, which is entitled "A Katy or A Gaga." Considering that the first song Adam will be singing on the show is Gaga's tune "Marry the Night," we can guess which side he picks. He also reportedly covers the diva's latest single, "Applause" and has a duet with Naya Rivera's character, Santana Lopez. Adam isn't the only big-name guest who will be on Glee this season. X Factor judge Demi Lovato will also be joining the cast for several episodes, playing a love interest for Santana. Next week is the first new episode of Glee since the show's tribute to star Cory Monteith, who died of a drug and alcohol overdose earlier this year. I'm so happy that if I just wait a bit, someone will paste all the good parts together! Aleks - I just want to say that I look forward to your essays, and this one in particular about Adam's voice.
I'm with you - it's always been first and foremost about the voice for me. I lost quite a bit of my hearing a number of years ago due to a virus, so I now need to strain to hear what I want to hear and separate out from surrounding extraneous noises, but Adam's voice always comes through with such richness and clarity that transcends everything else around me. I know from my hearing loss how important music is for everyone - it represents the rhythm of life - and we all need it.
While I enjoy everything about Adam - his stage presence, his costumes, his humor, his quirky but kind and gentle personality, and following him here on Atop, it's his singing voice reaches deep inside me and fills me with such warmth and peace. And I don't need to necessarily "see" him to experience that. Just want to share one small experience while standing in line behind a tall fence waiting to get in for Jimmy Kimmel, when suddenly during the sound check that strong pure clear voice came soaring out like an angel from somewhere else. Later when we got back to my brother's house in Pasadena and he was asking us about the show, the first thing I said was "We got the sound check!"
In my life the only other musical phenomenon that continues to this day to affect me on such a deep level is Mozart.
