Hey I'm a metalhead!! Adam's high notes are the same kind of approach as guys like these, the edgy anti-pop metalheads usually at least admit that his high notes are the shit. In my experience anyway.  (BTW Geoff Tate, Michael Kiske, and Sebastian Bach are the highlights here for sure) Well, not US metalheads I know - maybe yours are more enlightened  like you. I had not heard some of the demos, and I have to say there were some Interesting..........notes  ETA: Adam doesn't really do the falsetto thing, tho. You mean the Citizen Vein stuff?? It's his usual pop-rock approach which is why it didn't feel convincing to me even though some of the songs were ok. Not many metal dudes get away with falsetto, most of the big note guys sing in head voice but Adam's are more on the mixed-head voice side of things so they sound a bit grittier (some metal guys do that too). Probably cause he was influenced by divas but idk lol sounds orgasmic either way. |
