Susie and I were discussing these tweets that say, "I didn't used to like Adam Lambert but now...." We find it strange. His performance was one of the most over the top he has ever done. Why would people who disliked him previously, suddenly like him after that?! Is it because they had preconceived ideas about him before & never really listened to give him a chance? Or maybe due to the changing picture of LBGT rights, these people have evolved in their thinking and just don't realize it? And maybe since Adam also did the Elliot character viewers could see the other (for lack of a better word) 'tamer' side so they could get an all around feeling of our AFL!!

Or maybe due to the changing picture of LBGT rights, these people have evolved in their thinking and just don't realize it? Why would someone who used to not like Adam, discover him from Glee and change their mind? I have been wondering the same thing but I have three ideas: 1. He was OTT but safe and funny -- not "scary" like the AMA performance or "weird" ROF. [not my opinion of AMA or ROF, just the typical negative comments]. 2. The performance and look was in context of Glee which is filled with gender bending and OTT performances. It was only jarring in its greatness! 3. There was time for Starchild/Elliot and Kurt to have a couple scenes that persononalized/humanized Adam. Plus he never looked better! Ever! The diner Elliot "Cupcake" scene is beyond flirting with the camera. So who could actually resist him. I have decided that he managed to capture the essence of baby lab puppies and kitten YouTubes in the diner scene.

As dedication to him being on Glee last night, here's a flashback to @adamlambert and I at dinner after the first time I saw him in Wicked. I cannot put into words how proud I am of him. I feel so lucky to have someone so humble to look up too. Adam, I love you so much. You'll always be my big brother! #adamlambert #brother #wicked #glee #flashbackfriday

Or maybe due to the changing picture of LBGT rights, these people have evolved in their thinking and just don't realize it? I dunno, but in a sense, those tweets have both totally pleased and really bothered me. Adam is still Adam. But now people who called him "shriek-y", "weird", (and often "fat/ugly") are now going WHOA!! Yes, his voice has gotten better, but he still rocks the high notes he did before. Yes, his complexion has improved and he's toned up nicely, but Lord knows he was always good-looking, and while he wasn't "Hollywood thin" initially, he was never significantly overweight. His performance style is still "theatrical" (suck it Simon), and will probably always be. He was always a charismatic sweetheart in interviews then, and he absolutely remains the same in interviews now. So why the perception change? #pleasedandirkedatsametime
