Since Adam tweeted out the official Glee performance video for MTN, should we work to get the view count up? It's currently at 145,783.

[grins wryly, but with nostalgia] Hey guys, new promo for Idol just came out. And, yes, Adam is there. Not named checked like some of the big winners, but definitely with a nice performance shot. They didn't show Taylor Hicks, Lee DeWyze and Candice. It seems that showed all the other winners as well as the successful finalists Oh, and Kris is only in the "they use it every year" surprised winner moment with Adam. So Adam is in 2 times!

Should we be afraid ? (as Klainer) Soo,i saw tonights episode and i got damm scared when i saw the awesome chemistry between Kurt and Elliot (We calling them Kelliot, right?)I really love Adam Lambert and the last think i want is to has him and Kurt as my enemy ship.Klaine will always be my OTP but i can’t hide the fact that Kelliot is cute (and sometimes it sound like Kurt wasn’t very happy with the engagement).I’m most afraid that the Klaine ship could split or broke. This Kelliot think could seriously be something (and something very powerful)

Why are folks who used to dislike Adam now climbing onboard? I think it has to do with context. Adam on Idol didn't fit the mold. Wasn't the safe boy next door. Was strange. And, perhaps, like Starchild, was perceived as trying way too hard and being too OTT. Adam after Idol was most often portrayed to the masses as this bad boy, in-your-face, gay dude in eyeliner still totally OTT, and slightly uncomfortable for many.
On the other hand, GLEE is the story of misfits, geeks, weirdos, gays, transgenders, and every other flavor, letting their freak flags fly, persevering despite being oustracized and bullied, embracing their "crazy" and supporting each other in a very "feel-good" manner. The triumph of the underdog. In that context, Adam's OTT, weird, eyeliner, gay dude fits in perfectly. Is a textbook conglomeration of all the "freaks". And he does it so thoroughly and convincingly, and with such excellence in performance.
The other thing that GLEE does is show that, behind the outer persona, be it cross dressing, macho quarterbacking, snobby cheerleader, disabled, sexy, etc..... behind all of them there is a real person with feelings, questions, insecurities, who is more than a little like all of us. GLEE is good at personalizing and humanizing the larger than life caricatures. They did precisely that with the diner conversation between Elliott and Kurt.
Many people, up to that point, had only been exposed to Adam as Starchild in the media. We fans knew that it was all performance, and we knew the wonderful person behind the persona, but most folks never had the opportunity to "meet" that person. GLEE gave them that side, and how could they help but fall in love with him?

New high for MTN ---
76 Glee Cast - Marry the Night (Glee Cast Version) [feat. ...
Pop bars: Most recent is 0.0948 current 2 hours ago 0.0914 4.5 hours ago 0.0902 6.9 hours ago 0.0870 9.1 hours ago 0.0828 10.6 hours ago 0.0763
The bigger the pop bars the better. That means it is selling 9.48% of the #1 song Eminem's monster hit.
ETA: Cassie I completely agree with you about context. I also think that attitudes have changed dramatically since Adam was on Idol.

Susie and I were discussing these tweets that say, "I didn't used to like Adam Lambert but now...." We find it strange. His performance was one of the most over the top he has ever done. Why would people who disliked him previously, suddenly like him after that?! Is it because they had preconceived ideas about him before & never really listened to give him a chance? Or maybe due to the changing picture of LBGT rights, these people have evolved in their thinking and just don't realize it? I think it is partly because, brilliantly, Kurt is depicted as being momentarily petty, judgmental, and jealous when he is dismissive of Starchild and what he has to offer. Once all the girls set Kurt straight on the matter (Naya, Dani, and Lea) and he comes around, he AND anyone watching who might have ALSO once dismissed Adam, are treated to the practically irresistible Elliot. The context of Adam/Starchild's performance here was, only if you're being an idiot would you not want to hear .and see Starchild/Elliot/Adam. (I heard WWFM on the radio today. I hear Wake Me Up on the radio a LOT - call me crazy, but I think LMD will be a single soon and I think it will get radio play.) I think your theory makes a lot of sense.

I dunno, but in a sense, those tweets have both totally pleased and really bothered me. Adam is still Adam. But now people who called him "shriek-y", "weird", (and often "fat/ugly") are now going WHOA!!Yes, his voice has gotten better, but he still rocks the high notes he did before. Yes, his complexion has improved and he's toned up nicely, but Lord knows he was always good-looking, and while he wasn't "Hollywood thin" initially, he was never significantly overweight. His performance style is still "theatrical" (suck it Simon), and will probably always be. He was always a charismatic sweetheart in interviews then, and he absolutely remains the same in interviews now. So why the perception change? #pleasedandirkedatsametime Are you sure those are the same people? I know people who hated Adam way back, still hate him. Many are FOOs, others just don't like him, and I don't see any of them changing their views. By the tweets we are referring to? "yes" there are a whole bunch of people who disliked him that are liking him after that one show!
