Still headed up 119 Glee Cast - Marry the Night (Glee Cast Version) [feat. Adam Lambert] 188 Glee Cast - Roar (Glee Cast Version) [feat. Demi Lovato & Adam Lambert] Just wondering ... the Glee cast album is sitting at #15. Wouldn't we be better off to buy the whole EP and get it to the top 10 than try to push up one song? If the EP was in the top 10 (or top 5), I think Adam would still get a lot of the credit. How far up the Itunes chart can we expect to push MTN when it is still in the 100s? I'm not trying to upset or offend anyone, I'm just wondering whether we are following the correct strategy. It is a really good question. iTunes has a relatively small share of the album sales -- because CD's still matter for albums. So being being high on the album chart does not mean very much. Anyway the EP will chart on the Billboard 200 because Glee Albums chart -- probably in the 30 to 50 range. iTunes sells over 70% of the tracks in the US -- because they control the market and there is no alternative to digital. And MTN is the track that matters. MTN is moving up because people who saw the saw are buying it. Sure some is Adam fans but this is organic. As far as any buying campaign, there are some fans organized to buy and gift a lot of tracks (including me) but we are all staying on the sidelines until/if MTN moves up to the 20's. Finally, we know that Adam and his team are negotiating a new label deal. MTN reflects on Adam, the EP is Glee.
