Finally, we know that Adam and his team are negotiating a new label deal. MTN reflects on Adam, the EP is Glee. This is a point were it does matter. >> I do not think it is a coincidence that Adam is clear of RCA this week and his Glee debut was this week. Did something happen this week to make Adam clear of RCA? I thought he was clear back in the summer? Adam "parted ways" with RCA sometime before April 28, 2013. But I believe he had a release agreement with RCA that gave them a window when he could not sign with another label and release any music (being a featured artist and songwriting would not included). That is why he remained on their website as an artist until this week and why RCA was still on the footer of AO.com. All connections to RCA appear to be gone now EXCEPT that they still own the master recordings and right to sell the music from FYE and Trespassing. Plus, Adam said he was in discussion with a "handful of labels". Something he could not say everything was over. DMG did a great job of staging Katy's career. I think they are also sequencing Adam's career is a masterful way. ETA: That or he has a guardian angel who put the Glee debut on the same week as his opportunity to start talking to other labels. ETA 2: IMHO We would not see reports like this one in THR: "In other Lambert news, the Idol favorite is currently in the studio working on his third album. Okay, I am seriously berted out tonight. ![]() ![]() ![]() I've watched the MTN vid about 40 times.... taking a breath before I dive back in for the next 40. My computer isn't letting me watch vimeos.  Has the cafe scene shown up yet on youtube? I need to watch that at least 100 times!!! I'M JUST SO EXCITED AT ALL THE ACCOLADES AND LOVE!!!!!  |

Being married to a Little Monster, I had to watch the recorded show alone in order to not upset the balance and Hear Her Roar. Around 3/4 of the MTN audition, around the glory notes, I heard a voice from the kitchen: "I am unhappy!" This was of course another clear sign (just like Kurt's face) how much better Adam's version is. It is naturally threatening to a true GaGa fan. Btw, a few days ago my DW got the Canadian citizenship and in the invitation to the Oath Ceremony there was a point about bringing a holy book of her choice - I proposed she should bring Lady GaGa's photos book  All three scenes involving Adam were brilliant. Loved the Clark Kent look and all the smiling. I have no idea how I am supposed to go to sleep now... |
