I was wondering about something. I noticed that when someone brings an article here they have the link to click on to view which is great. However the whole article is opened and available for viewing without having to open it. I get that this is good to have it opened to view if you don't want to give an unsavoury poster hits. But especially now when there are so many positive articles and reviews for Glee's performance shouldn't we be giving these lots of hits to support Adam. I'm sure it shows a lot of interest when these articles and reviews get lots of hits. Why are the articles being left open for us to read without giving them hits? I like to have the articles here for future reference. I have learned that nothing is permanent on the internet. One of the most informative interviews, the LA Times Ultimate Interview, disappeared from their site after about 4 years. I never expected that one to go, but I had saved it, just in case. If you know you should click on the link to give the site hits, then do it. There is no reason you can't. ... and I'm very, very grateful that you save them for us! I guess every now and then, we should just remind readers to click on the source links to give them hits - just as a reminder or as info to newer members. But I agree with belle that I don't like shortened links - I still click them if I trust the person who posted them, but still.....

I think it's fine to pick Adam parts for people who try to catch up by speed reading but find it very questionable to copy the whole piece. Also I don't like clicking links that I don't know where I'm going or why. I wish the links would be real ie show the name of the site (not bitly or tinyurl or t.co anything shortened) and at least the title should be posted too.I believe that most links using bit.ly or t.co come from tweets. I sometimes use bitly for long links that won't work here and I have begun using bitly with items I save on my computer as a way to save the source. I find it very useful. If you question the safety of clicking on a link, then don't do it. However, I can't recall having a problem clicking on a bitly link.

Not to make a big deal out of a word, but it stood out to me a little that Adam thanked people for their words of "encouragement," of all things, rather than "praise" or "appreciation." I guess it would be egotistical to thank people for their words of awe, which is more what I saw . . .

I hope everyone gives the positive reviews and articles hits and doesn't just take the easy way out and read them when they are open here then. I agree they should be kept as things do drop off the internet sometimes quicker than others. If you have time make a few supportive comments as well. if sites are given positive reactions more articles will be posted on Adam which gives him more visibility thus making it a win win situation. Some of these sites also have main stream magazines which given more attention on line may result in magazine exposure which again reaches more people and not just on line. With this much visibility for Adam right now it's a good thing.

OT The DOI show is starting in a couple of minutes. Sauli will skate 2nd (my guess 20 mins into the show). Rating at home (during his performance only) here doi.nelonen.fi/I'll post in the shout box some live comments on the show.

I was not talking about viruses (although I had one from a post here and it's a valid concern), only that I want to know where I'm going - in most cases because I know some sites have annoying ads or pop-ups etc. that freeze my computer - or that I have clicked and read some articles already (and don't have time to do it twice).

It struck me as especially sweet and humble too.

With this much visibility for Adam right now it's a good thing. I agree with most of this and I almost always click on the link. I prefer to read the original. There is often more info to be had from the site, even when it looks like the whole article is quoted. However, many of our members are just plain too busy with RL work and family responsibilities and that's OK, too. As for comments on articles, I leave that for those more inclined.

I just watched the MTN video again and I'm wondering, if he did 14 takes, didn't he get hot in that costume...it looks like it has lots of layers and the material looks like a wool blend. He couldn't even keep his jacket on but a few songs at MAW show.

It seems to me that you're asking the folks who bring over info to do more work. Folks often check out the links they see on twitter and post more info with the tweet. I wouldn't insist that they do this, though. It's time consuming.
