I don't understand how nine of The Voice contestants could end up higher than Adam's MTM on iTunes. Some of these aren't even good, and altho some are very good, not one of them comes close to how good Adam's recording was. With all of Adam's promotion, what the heck!!! I don't get it either.. :-/ ....because people are watching The Voice and are heavily invested in the contestants. |

I don't watch The Voice so I'm guessing here, but I think this is how the viewers vote. Via iTunes. So that would make sense (sort of). Maybe someone who follows the show can clarify. Cause otherwise it makes no sense at all. And chances are, after this season is over, none of these people will make much of an impact. Going by history here. So Voice contestants compared to Adam Lambert?  |

Errrmmmmm....if this is in reference to my post about the possibility/probability of Dani being Elliott's sister and they're both gay.....that is not what I was trying to say......sigh.....as we all know here: you really need to double and triple-check what you write before you post.....and it looks like I should have gone over my little entry a 4th time. ![]() I responded to the first of several replies with thanks for her info and also added that I have known families with more than one gay child. I never meant to imply otherwise...I was just reacting to the idea of the writers making them siblings and both gay in such a short story arc.....in retrospect, it didn't come out the way I intended, so I just said "thanks"....and moved on........ There is a wealth of YAY and WOO HOO going on in this fandom right now and that is where my focus is now! ![]() Peace Out! ![]() |

So Voice contestants compared to Adam Lambert? The iTunes sales are just a bonus. They do have phone dialing and text voting. ETA: The first winner's album tanked. The second winner disappeared into the sunset because, for one he was a shock win. Third and fourth season winners are doing OK. Not the level of Idol winners, but one of these days they'll do really good. I think one contestant this season could be very successful, with the right promo. |

The colors do remind me of the last few frames of NCOE. I think Adam looks hot and sexy no matter what color he wears. He looks so happy, and it's such a fun scene, and, wow, those pants sure fit mighty fine - just sayin'

So Voice contestants compared to Adam Lambert? You're right -- a purchase on Itunes counts as a vote (they also have phone, text and online voting). And The Voice has a larger audience than Glee. So put the two together and you get much higher Itunes sales for individual tracks. But don't forget that the Glee EP for Adam's episode peaked in the top 10 of Itunes. So some people chose to purchase the whole EP instead of just the individual tracks. ETA: Re: Itunes purchasing for The Voice, one purchase can count for more than one vote. Depending on how high a track gets on Itunes, a "multiplier" can be applied to the "votes" (e.g. if a track gets into the Itunes top 10, a multiplier of 5 is applied).
