I know this video is not Adam singing live but we have seen him do a workout like this when he is live. I'll will never understand why his movements, some quite energetic, never shows in his voice. How does he do that? Cassie? He's an alien from the Planet Fierce. Of course. Or, the more pedantic answer, LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of training and practice. Mainly two things: Proper placement of voice/tone. If you sing using the proper technique to maximize your body's natural resonance and put the least strain on your vocal cords and throat muscles, you get a consistent sound despite moving around, dancing, etc. The second is breath support/control. It is essential to being a consistent singer in control of your voice. You need to produce a steady and efficient air stream that is not bounced and jarred by body movement or position. It takes a great deal of strength and endurance. When you couple that with proper resonance and technique, you don't have to force the notes with blasts of air that leave you breathless and gulping air in the midst of phrases or even syllables. Adam has impressive technique behind that gorgeous voice. This is why I roll my eyes just a bit when they talk about his natural talent. Yes, he naturally is gifted with a body that is capable of producing such rich, beautiful, soaring vocals. But the ONLY reason we are all able to hear and enjoy it is because Adam has obsessively trained and practiced for many years. As much as any world-class concert violinist, pianist or opera singer.

iridium and Bailey - thanks for clarifying The Voice voting process. I watched first season & that was it. I wish success for the contestants on that show of course. I just happen to think there is no one that compares to Adam. You probably agree as you're here! Others in the business agree with us too as this quote shows: @adamanders: @_gleeamichele @adamlambert one of the best singers you will ever hear in your life. He is a rare talent.I know it's already been posted here. It just seemed to fit again. And Yay for 1,004,258 for MTN!!!

I don't watch The Voice so I'm guessing here, but I think this is how the viewers vote. Via iTunes. So that would make sense (sort of). Maybe someone who follows the show can clarify. Cause otherwise it makes no sense at all. And chances are, after this season is over, none of these people will make much of an impact. Going by history here. So Voice contestants compared to Adam Lambert? The iTunes sales are just a bonus. They do have phone dialing and text voting. ETA: The first winner's album tanked. The second winner disappeared into the sunset because, for one he was a shock win. Third and fourth season winners are doing OK. Not the level of Idol winners, but one of these days they'll do really good. I think one contestant this season could be very successful, with the right promo. Here in the Voice oz you can vote by phone OR you can buy track on ITunes which counts as two votes so pretty much every contestant on the show had top 10 iTunes...

Cassie….. a question for you. I think I read or heard, here or somewhere else….LOL (not sure now) that when Adam does the 'fish gulping' thing with his mouth when he has time during a song (not in the midst of phrases, but when the song allows), that that is a quick and efficient way for him to take in more air? True? ETA: the reason I ask is because I have seen some say they wish he wouldn't do the 'stank face' so much, but I always thought he was taking in more air.

Cassie do you know any other singer that can do this? I am awe struck every time

I was happy to read that the horrid clothes (those pants look like khakis and we know how Adam feels about khakis… blechhhh!!!!) he is wearing and that whole hipster bar scene from 'Puppet Master' picture is all a part of a Kurt fantasy!!!
Also, I hope I am wrong, but they seem to be dressing him in long sleeves exclusively. Sadz……. as I hate to think they are making a conscious effort to cover up his tattoos. Will see as his arc unfolds I guess.

Is it a theory that this is Kurt's fantasy or has that been revealed? (Elliot did say he'd be whoever Kurt wants him to be . . . )

Beauty and the Beast Star Dane Agostinis Dishes About Impressing Tom Cruise and Living with Adam LambertINTERVIEWS By Jesse North November 14, 2011 - 4:01PM fortlauderdale.broadway.com/buzz/158567/beauty-and-the-beast-star-dane-agostinis-dishes-about-impressing-tom-cruise-and-living-with-adam-lambert/What's your Adam Lambert connection? You replaced him in a show called Debbie Does Dallas?Yes, this is before he was the Adam Lambert. I was fresh out of school [New York University’s Tisch School for the Arts/CAP21], and one of my teachers had a connection to someone in the production of Debbie Does Dallas in Lake Tahoe. They needed a replacement because the guy who was doing it, Adam Lambert, was leaving to do Wicked. So there was overlap with Lambert?Adam took a week to teach me the role, and I lived with him for that week. They had us in these cool lodges out in Lake Tahoe. We performed five or six nights a week at 10pm, so we had pretty much the entire day to do what we wanted. When I learned I got the role in New York, my music theory teacher wanted to go over the music with me, so I would be prepared. We tackled it in the way that Adam Lambert—lungs of steel and voicebox of gold—can sing it. I was like, "This is not going to happen. Let’s make some tweaks"’ They were fine with that, and I got to do the role in my own way.
