My vision for WTF Say on Glee is that it is the closing number with both the HS cast and NYC cast, just as Roar was. The NYC cast will be in their loft, being silly, and totally "going off" on that song! It will be hysterical!! The Amazon title for Roar, also says, "Featuring Adam Lambert and Demi Lovato" BTW. And it certainly doesn't feature anyone! sounds right! ![]() and thank you milliemom and li for bringing the background for this song here... so it was created as a parody and the fact that it became viral is as telling of public tastes as the success of Psy 's (G-G style) song... I am sure Adam had lots of fun with singing/dancing/clowning WTF and we'll get many a gif out of it I am sure :D talon - thx for your Q-insider info!  By now we all learned the need to be patient with both Q and Adam.... On a personal note: I just came back from Miami/Miami Beach ...As the irony of my life has it - I stayed at the Intercontinental missing Adam just by a couple of days, passed by the Fontainebleau Hotel to get a "visual" on where Adam will be in just a couple of weeks and imagined the Pride parade events and the rest of his stay there just a few months ago... bb was with me all the time ![]() ... This was my first time in Miami Beach, and I can totally see why Adam took the Thanksgiving gig there! What a beautiful place, with so much character and the weather is just pure perfection this time of year! |

Did you see Darren Chris' godawful Gaga outfit last week? Any kind of fox outfit will beat that! (I think Adam will look adorable sporting a fur hood and tail - maybe he'll resurrect that fur hoody/coat he wore in some old photos?). I think if Adam sings it, he'll have fun with it - because he 's fun! I have to agree -- if Adam is dressed up as a fox, he will be a fun and very sexy fox. This reminds me of 2009 Idol days when Adam some fans (and many foes) worried the Adam would not be able to do a country song. That's when he gave up "Ring of Fire". Disco, many expected him to cover disco stereotype song and he put together that beautiful ballad version of "If I Can Have You". I do not know what Adam and Demi did (because this is already recorded) but I am sure that between the two of them they have enough power to make sure they do no look stupid. ETA: Based on the spoilers -- The Fox is not the closing number. The closing number is “Don’t You (Forget About Me)” by Simple Minds. Somehow there are puppets at the high school, and in NY the band does there first performance and it involved The Fox and wearing primary colors performing for a crowd that (at least in the photo we have) is not very interested in the performance. |

I honestly don't see what the big deal is about Adam singing the Fox song. It's a funny song, a parody and people love it (whether they get the irony or not). I'm certain Adam is more than capable of pulling off that song in a way that will make him look good.
Is it some major piece of musical art? Nope. Then again, IMO, neither is Lay Me Down. Or IIHY. Or Fever. Or Naked Love. etcetcetc. They're all fun songs, most of them intended as dancing/club music. So clearly Adam's love of clubbing/dancing translates to his own musical offerings. Plus given his own sometimes silly sense of humor, I doubt he has any problems singing the Fox song.
I'd also bet that if Adam were given the opportunity to record a silly song that has sold the way the Fox song has, he'd do it in a heartbeat. Money buys not only things, but also freedom and exposure buys you future opportunities.

Umm , let me speak my mind for a second here , I don't see anything wrong with the Glee cast and Adam singing "The Fox" song .
I don't understand why some of you are so , umm , sad ? dissapointed ? angsty ? (Idk the right word)
Yes , it is a ridiculous song . It is a hilariously ridiculous song . It is a JOKE . Nothing serious about it .
Not my fave song . But I prefer it to Adam covering anything , ANYTHING by *gags* jb .
So yeah , "The Fox" is pretty good to me . I'm cool , I'm good .
Now , "I believe in a thing called love" Now this MUST mean something . I listened to it , read the lyrics , and , yes , I BELIEVE .
It was actually clear as crystal from the first episode , Kurt had hearts and rainbows and unicorns and stars coming out of his eyes when he was talking to Elliott .
And Elliott had such a flirty face , LOL !!
Guys , it IS happening !!!!
Anyone who says "No" , Well , you must prepare yourselves , because it actually IS happening .
I predicted Glee . I'm predicting this . And believe me , 99% of the times I've predicted something , it came true .
I'm just a bitchy witch like that .
So , Stop angsting , sit back , relax , And watch everything I've told you about , happen !!
Oh and just wanna say something , Elliott + Blaine = NOOOOOOOOOOO EWWWW YUCK .

Amen, sister! When he signed up for Glee, he and everyone knew that there would be great songs, silly songs, OTT costumes, group numbers, the whole works. And Adam can goof around and still make it come out just fine. They could have a dress-up party in Adam's closet and this would still be a great Fox song, for that matter. I am sure they can make it work in that loft apartment too, and Adam will have tons of ideas to add to the mix. It will all be in good fun. Maybe the fox sings about the turkey that tasted delish instead of singing wopapopapopapow. Who knows. |
