I love this place and my Glamily so much. After PF poofed I was so lost. I could find information about what Adam was doing, but as Adam would say the energy wasn't right. I needed to go home. This is my Adam home and I eventually found it 6 months later. Thank Goodness! Every one of you is a lot like the man I stan....warm, talented, funny, thoughtful and kind. I sincerely Thank You and can't wait to meet you all. OK, I'm getting teary with gratitude and there's nothing worse than a soggy cracker! A special Thank you to Q3 for giving us a home! Thank you. Atop is my community and I agree, Q3 has been a gracious and patient hostess. No matter who you are or what your username is, if you think it's clever or meaningful or not...each one of you is important. I can't even tell you how many times coming here has buoyed me up in times of difficulty or sent me to bed in spasms of laughter. I don't know if I'd still be stanning anyone if I didn't have a place where I could interact with such delightful and diverse people. Adam's the key, but Atop is my doorway. Thank you all for being here. And for people de-lurking!!!! More please...I know yer out there..  |

I'm so embarrassed from my last post. I simply messed everything up.  I just popped In to say hi! Actually I was testing the waters. haha My name Gini comes from Virginia...right out of the middle. It's so slow and trying hard to find something new about Adam. I always enjoy this site so I always come here. I find great pictures and articles. I had to bite the bullet and jump right back in! Your post was wonderful, Gini233! Please stick around..  My first post was a long, honking story about seeing Adam at RMT, but I didn't know how to use the forum and my paragraphs all ran together into a pile of words that looked like I upchucked all over the thread. Never be embarrassed, I guarantee you, we all have to learn to manuever. Everyone here is so great about helping with any questions or problems you might be having. Nice seeing you tonite! ![]() |

I am enjoying reading about everyone's name.
I'm a big JRR Tolkien fan (lord of the rings, etc.) Perhaps not of his actual writing, but of the astonishing world he envisioned, and the creatures and races within it. "Avari" is the name of my favourite elvish tribe from Tolkiens work.
I was never able to use the name Avari in LOTR fandom, too many other people use it or a variation of it. But I could use it here in Adam fandom, so I took it!
Every account or board membership I have that is related to stanning Adam uses the name Avari, or a very close variant. (I'm Aavari on mjs on the rare occasion I post there, for example; and I'm @avarionline on twitter.)

It was a random post on another site I was visiting that led me here. Once I saw the familiar names, I literally started crying. This is the only place I've ever felt truly at home. |
