When I got my first diary in junior high or high school I always signed each entry with my alterego. I think I just experimented until I came up with something that looked like a name. Although I pronounce it jah-blee-ah, I can nick name it down to just Jab too.

My screen name is from my favorite Everly Brothers song, Down in the Willow Garden. I loved the Everlys as soon as they sang their first note. Same as for Adam. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xp_ivMnp0lM

Back in 2006, the company I worked for was doing visual effects for the Superman Returns movie. I loved reading rumors about the project "from the other side", in other words, from the point of view of the Superman fans on forums (there was a forum called BlueTights at that point dedicated mostly to that upcoming film alone). I wanted to have a name that does not reveal my true identity, while paying homage to Superman's home planet (Krypton) and had my birth year in it. So I combined "crypto" (Greek for hidden, secret), "Man from Krypton" and 1968 and voila! The movie came out and kinda flopped, although we got an Oscar nomination for effects (Pirates 2 won that year deservingly), but the name stuck since I was using it for my YouTube account. Now Google asks me daily if I want to switch to my real identity, and I still refuse. When I first came to ATop the night after the EMAs, I wanted to use my "real" nickname which is "Bobo", but it was already taken, so I reused my alternative one... Very interesting. So do you know anything more about Adam's Clark Kent disguise? :D Google is driving me nuts. It seems that every day they have to change something, hide functionality in "kryptic" buttons, and want to spread my name all over the internet. I want to be anonymous--STOP IT!

I am so loving this photo ...
As a major fan of Lenny Kravitz I have long hoped for a meeting/collab with Adam. I truly believe they have matching spirits and would be the best of friends sharing their passions for music, fashion and life.
Adam, Lenny and Nile Rogers; what a trio !!!!!

um.............. ... was trying to scare away a burgler with a BUTTERKNIFE... later was made fun of by my DF... This is the best story yet! My name is a combination of my last name and the fact that I do not post often. When I first joined A-top, Gelly found my icon for me. I wasn't brave enough to join Planet Fierce, or the "other" place, but I am glad I am here. You all were welcoming then, and are still welcoming now.

My name is the name my husband called me when I got mad at him. According to him no one is more imperious than a Russian Grand Duchess, so not a compliment. (his Mother and Father immigrated from Russia in 1907) Family thought it was funny and started calling me by that name to tease me, so it stuck and became an endearment. I never thought of it as egocentric until at concerts people would ask me in that careful way you approach a delicate subject or a wild animal, what my name meant. PF I picked up when we were rallying at Adams fan site after Planet Fierce went away, so we used Pf to identify ourselves, and it just stayed because it was used at too many sites to change it. But on the other hand it runs in the family I have cousins whose husbands call them Queen Mother and Princess. So go figure
