www.eyeloveshadez.com/blogs/news/10268137-why-great-vocals-matterWhy Great Vocals Matter!
posted by Anthony DeLuca Nov 19, 2013 One of the many wonderful aspects of electronic music is it's ability to showcase amazing vocal talent that would have otherwise been missed or not been given the opportunity. Great vocals can take a somewhat mediocre production and elevate it to new heights...But of course that goes without saying that a great vocal cannot make up for lacklustre producing. The idea is to marry the two and create something that is both cohesive and harmonious. Here is a quick list of some of the many vocalists who I think are changing the game in no particular order: 8. Adam Lambert While many recognize the singer from his days on American Idol (Let's get past this people), his vocal ability it literally unparalleled. I would go as far to say that his octave range and talent is far beyond any singer in existence currently...Talk about being born in the wrong era. Having recently collaborated with Avicii on 'Lay Me Down', Lambert has begun to dabble in the world of electronic music. Now with a guest spot on Glee, we see the singer covering Lady Gaga's 'Marry The Night'...He turned a pop song into a metal hair anthem with this cover. What just happened?

Many folks, beside his fans, are starting to understand the enormity of Adam's talent

There is also this list from early 2010 from an ABC tv show called Nightline: He also did a favorite song list that was posted on iTunes -- I just can't remember when that was. OK! on it. I've looked in Itunes but so far no luck! Will go look again I couldn't find the list on iTunes either (but I've been working so I couldn't devote a lot of time to it). However, I remember some of the songs because I looked them up and bought a few. His list included: - Angel by Massive Attack - Utopia by Goldfrapp - Free Your Mind by En Vogue - Criminal by Fiona Apple I know that Adam also said he liked Love is Blind by Alicia Keys, but I can't remember exactly when/where that was. The problem is he likes so many songs/artists that it is hard to keep track.

I remember his tweets about last Jamiroquai album "Rock Dust Light Star" and Janelle Monae and her "The ArchAndroid".
