I was hoping for QAL in Philly. Not near as expensive as going to NYC but close enough to NYC. But I think if this happens it will be way past the time you are in Philly. I will struggle over to Philly for Queen -- it is only 7 hours away (by car).  But realistically, I do not have great expectations for QAL in the US. I think they might be able to do a few (2 or 3) shows in mid-sized venues. But Queen has not been booked in large venues in the US since 1982 -- when Freddie was alive. Queen was popular in the US from 1977-1982. They stopped touring in North America in 1982 because they could not sell tickets (the underlying causes are debated but include not "understanding" US radio and releasing "Hot Space" which was not a rock album causing many US fans to move on.). In any case, they have been out of this market from 1982 to now except for the Q+PR mini tour which was booked into mid-sized venues and a mixed lot but some of the shows were less than 40% sold -- and the venues topped out at 12K. I think Adam is as big a concert draw in the US as Queen is -- maybe bigger right now. It is one thing to have a great, well-known song catalog. It is very different to have a concert-ready fan-base. [Queen is certainly bigger in most of the rest of the world but they were never as big in North America as they were in other regions.] It would be completely different if there was some new, great music that QAL collaborated on. Or if they found 20 unrecorded Freddie compositions and recorded them with Adam. Or if it was for a big popular cause. But without news and radio airplay/promo and something happening online, I just can't seen how it. And I can't see QAL selling enough tickets to get booked in Madison Square Garden (Capacity 20,000) unless it is a super-concert -- that is someone else major is on the bill. More likely they would be in venues the size of Nokia LA - 7K. Or something a bit unusual like Mann Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia. may I put forward Radio City Hall...capacity 6K. |

It all just hits you in the head , face , back , butt , and everything that can be hit . It's even harder when you're a teenager . A 15 year old teenager . It was like wonderland , really . Everything was new . Everything was weird . And I kinda liked it . No , I LOVED it . Wanna know what I loved the most about it ? It's STILL a wonderland ., I love how you refer to Adam and the experience of him as a "wonderland". Perfectly stated. (And for the record, you don't have to be a teenager to get "hit" as you say!)
