Sauli: Yeah, but I guess we both feel a bit empty right now.
Arttu: Yes, and I miss home. I'll try to leave asap, my son (new-born) got to go home today and my mind is there.
Int: You'll get to leave soon but did you anticipate being in the final?
A: No, I didn't, I thought that if I'll advance once or twice it would be nice. S: Yeah, same kind of feelings... A: And... watching the first boot camp videos, damn, Sauli has made a lot of progress.
S: You too. I laughed at the press conference when we met the first time in the locker room and tried to put on the body suits... and I was like I'm not going anywhere looking like this - and now we're here! You were actually the first one of the contestants that I met there.
A: Yeah, we met there in our underwear trying to fathom how to put on the 'condoms'! S: we've got used to them quite well already. A: True, I use them at home too. (dirty laugh)
Int: Next sat we'll know who'll be the first DOI winner - how would you describe your opponent?
A: Sauli is a nice fellow, reliable and he's become a good friend... really talented - actually in everything he does, we were bowling one night and he just made stsrike after strike.
S: Arttu is a good friend and it feels so good to come here and train together. Arttu is brilliant on ice and his ability to emote in his performance is amazing, especially tonight, it was special.
Int: Oh, you're so adorable when you praise each other - forced.
A: We haven't really competed with Sauli at all. We are like having fun and I believe it'll stay that way til the end and both will be happy for the other, whoever wins. Like if Sauli wins I'll buy a ticket to the same cruise, I'll be there with him. S: Yes, yes, we'll go together! A: Well, we'll go together anyway whichever way it ends.
Int: Lovely. What plans you have for the coming week and your training?
S: I assume we'll continue the same way as before. I'm not thinking about monday now, when it comes then I'll put on the skates and start training. I don't think it'll be much different.
A: Well, I'm going to take some time off during the week due to family which is the most important now - and maybe I'll take Eve (his partner) to dinner, yes that's what I'm going to do. Oh and we'll skate a little bit.
Int: Perhaps the time off ice has paid off, you got several tens tonight and did not skate as much as before?
A: I guess it wasn't the time off ice but the time with family that did the trick.
Int: Sauli, what's your magic trick, Arttu has family?
S: Well, I'll try to find the support from my friends and family. I'll be leaving far away from Finland after the contest, so I'm going to enjoy every moment now.
