* Sauli's first routine to Feeling Good
Jukka Poika 10: I got a great feeling of that. It was proud and confident, I felt that the guy knows that he's doing really well - IDK I'm a bit thrilled with that.
Mila 8.5: My points are for Sauli's solo part, perfect flip and the first attempt of balance pirouette, very good. But your skating together was still a bit easy even though there were turns and triple etc, that part downgraded my points a little. There's potential in you, yes!
Mika 8.5: There a lot of good things that have happened during the season, jump sequence was great, solo part, feeling good here and there on ice. You yourself have said that basic skating training is not you favourite - we're now in the semifinals and unfortunately it shows. If and maybe when you'll be in the final we do demand more in that department, remember what's said numerous times, 'bottom in, knees down'.
Anuliisa 8.5: I love to see in you that childlike courage, not thinking of details but just go and do. But here, starting the solo part your soul was ahead of your body which left the technique superficial, you made it but you weren't in it as a whole.
(Host comment on Mila that she was the first Finn who did all triple jumps cleanly.)
* Sauli's second routine to Nuori ja kaunis (Young and beautiful)
Jukka Poika 9: Yeah, the story was about happiness, not the calm kind but a little bit wild kind of the feeling. I didn't give a ten because I think the choreo was not quite up there although execution was.
Anuliisa 9.5: Now you did, Sauli, skate well... extrememly well. Now we saw you really going in the ice with the blades and you managed to restrain you quickness that sometimes gets the better of you (~eagerness). Now it manifested only in the emotion that was shown to us - amazing! Nea, the whole season, you've been a fantastic partner to Sauli!
Mika 9.5: You did find it, (good position) bottom in and knees down. About Nea, I have to say that you are match made in heaven, perfect partners to each other. Sauli's fists up taking in a breath was the finest moment of this performance, in that moment you were totally yourself there and that was necessary to the performance. The half point off was because you didn't quite reach the heartbreaking shout or scream of the young and the beautiful that is in the song, just a little bit of letting go would've made it.
Mila 9: Ahh, this wonderfully fresh and happy, only you two can do that in this contest, that's your thing. Your speed, Sauli, made the youthful drive in it. The one point off was due to choreo, I didn't get in it as much as last week, when you had it all in place - but this did touch me too, thank you.
(Host comments on S&N that they have been thinking about the expression the while time and instructed cameramen on when there'll be a certain nuance.)
