OT but just a little more info on the (RED) Auction that I mentioned earlier. They raised $13.1 million then Bill Gates matched the funds so $26.2 million raised for Global Fund. CHIC played the after party with Bono, The Edge and Angélique Kidjo joining them on stage. It's been a long time since there was anything about Adam published here, only his 'genie' outfit pic was in Iltalehti in their Halloween photo gallery but no mention in the text then. Adam's congratulations tweet to Sauli made news on a couple of websites, as in the two biggest tabloids (Ilta-Sanomat, Iltalehti) and two magazines (Me Naiset, Seiska). On comments' section in Ilta-Sanomat: mostly positive like 'great gesture Adam', also congrats to Sauli, a couple of negative comments 'why is this news?', 'why not a story of Sauli's skating?' (Arttu got an article for his skating and another earlier for his fatherhood, also Sara as the eliminated on her journey on the show.)

Sauli Koskinen and Arttu Wiskari skated to the final of Dancing on Ice.

The finalists of Dancing on Ice, a skating contest for celebrities, were decided on saturday night.

Tv-personality and Adam Lambert's ex Sauli Koskinen with Nea Ojala and musician Arttu Wiskari with Eveliina Pöllänen will skate in the final. Miss (Finland) Sara Chafak and Sasha Palomäki were eliminated from the the show.

Musician Adam Lambert gushed his ex-spouse's achievement on twitter.

The 2.5-year-relationship between Sauli and Adam finished early 2013. Adam's tweet was first reported by Ilta-Sanomat.

Sauli Koskinen and Nea Ojala made the final in Dancing on Ice. Sauli is supported by a big fan group.

-I hope that the fans will vote us to win. I'm really happy that so many has cheered and voted for us. I'm a bit at loss for words about that, said Sauli.

In addition to fans also people close to Sauli have supported and Sauli's father was in the audience watching his son's performances.

-My friends and family have been a little bit puzzled how I've learned to skate. And I got a bit emotional when dad was there with tears in his eyes. At first I didn't even like skating but now I'm enojying this a lot. It's also great to show everyone that I can (skate), Sauli enthused.


I believe a couple of radio stations will mention DOI (and perhaps the tweet too) when they have staff at work on monday. All in all, the press has followed DOI very little compared to DWTS and 'It's just Life' although the ratings are good. DWTS is doing their gala tonight for Unicef and perhaps this week we'll see some more articles on DOI final and their gala for Plan, too.

Since it appears to be a slow news day, I'd like to share what happened to me yesterday afternoon. I had an appointment with my regular hair stylist for highlights and cut......and I got a new shampoo girl....lovely young woman in her 20's....she was a talker which I liked. We started talking about music when a Katy P. song started playing, so of course I took the opportunity to bring up Adam, asking if she knew who he was, etc......"From American Idol? He didn't win, right? Who won that year? He's gay, I think (LOL!!). I know he's hot looking because my girlfriend met him and had her picture taken with him!"
This is what I find baffling: her FRIEND somehow managed to meet him and get a photo....how can this girl know so little about him? She doesn't watch Glee (another shock), so I told her to check out MTN performance on YouTube, in addition to iHeart radio.....she said she would, so I made sure to give her a good tip as insurance! *can't get smilies to work, so pretend winky face here*
OT...feel free to scroll....but another funny moment during my appointment: I started wearing hearing aids last year *thankyouIronButterflyConcertInnaGadaDaVidaBabyGinormousSpeakers*
I do NOT wear them to my hair appts because I don't need them getting accidentally damaged during the cut......so yesterday, Melissa is snipping away, talking about recipes she is making this Thursday....and I am trying with all my might to hear her above the music blasting, the multiple tv screens surrounding us....and all the chatter from other customers......I thought I was doing ok....and responded appropriately as needed....until she asked me if I ever made Charles Barkley.....????????? I hesitated.......what do I say? "No, I have not! How DOES one make Charles Barkley?"
Fortunately, I hesitated just long enough for her to begin giving me the recipe......for CHARRED BROCCOLI!!!
