WOT WOT WOOOTTT!!!
The thing which makes me happiest though is not necessarily The Jungle Book. Truth is I'd rather he'd be in a movie where I can also see him, not just hear him. But the thing which makes me happiest is that they say he's got OFFERS. Options. Choices. EVERYBODY wants him. Now this is the kind of press, that even if not accurate, it becomes accurate because it creates a buzz and creates more interest and opportunities. Not that I have any doubt in my mind that he's had several offers, but this will put the idea into even more people's heads. I want him to be able to chose what he really wants to do.

I checked deadline.com, the big insider Hollywood news source (kind of like Variety was, back in the day). Disney is planning a remake of "The Jungle Book", and Jon Favreau (Iron Man) has been signed to direct. BUT the remake is being planned as a live-action movie. It is, of course, possible it will have some cartoon elements. But maybe we need to know more before we get carried away. I know sometimes PR people get these kinds of items into gossip columns to stir up interest. I'm hoping there are some real movie offers,, but I'm just not sure if this Jungle Book thing is real.

There's this one on imdb: m.imdb.com/title/tt2226178/Is this a different film? Like how sometimes Hollywood makes 2 of the same kind of film at the same time sometimes (like Antz and Bugs Life say)?

There's this one on imdb: m.imdb.com/title/tt2226178/Is this a different film? Like how sometimes Hollywood makes 2 of the same kind of film at the same time sometimes (like Antz and Bugs Life say)? According to the deadline.com site that Heathcliff referenced, there are 3 Jungle Book movies planned: - a Disney live-action version, with Jon Favreau directing - a Warner Bros. live-action movie, written and directed by Steve Kloves - an animated version from DQ Entertainment (a film company based in India) -- the IMDB website has a trailer for this movie, so it may be almost completed Link: www.deadline.com/?s=the+jungle+book(After you click on the link, scroll down and you can see all of the articles about the different Jungle Book films) As Heathcliff said, the rumor about Adam being considered for any of these movies may be just that, a rumor. I guess we'll have to wait and see. But in any event, it is great to see Adam being considered for other film or TV roles. I think I'll send Ryan Murphy some flowers ...

YEESSS! It's time for this movie to be made. Or maybe Queen has tapped him for the Freddie bio. Brian has mentioned who they have/ want for the Freddie bio.... Some sleuth on Atop probably has it book marked. He discounted Adam...implying they are looking for a real actor. That was a time I was ticked about what Brian said....although I do get Adam has not proven himself in that area. Mama bear kicking in! Haha Well everyone has to get their start to become credible for movie /TV work. Adam is just cutting his teeth....and he is shredding it! Crossing all appendages that the article Cassie located has credibility. I don't think Brian meant that as an insult to Adam. The fact is Adam is not a good fit to play Freddie. He can handle the vocal duties, of course, but he doesn't look anything like Freddie. Also, Brian said in subsequent interviews that they wanted someone who would not be readily recognizable -- a less well-known actor who could more easily disappear into the part. Neither Adam nor Sacha Baron Cohen, the original choice, would fit the bill. The actor that they are supposedly considering, Ben Whishaw, is an accomplished British actor, but not a household name outside of the UK. He's probably best known in the US for playing "Q" in "Skyfall", the last James Bond movie. And he has a much stronger physical resemblance to Freddie, and has both the acting skills and the accent to play the role. And really, I would prefer that Adam not play Freddie anyway. I think performing with Queen is great, and has been very good for Adam, but that's as far as I think the connection should go. I think Adam needs to continue to forge his own career as an independent artist.

Even if it is a live action film, animals don't talk so they might still need actors for voice overs.
