Every time I see "creepy" being used to describe the dolls, I'm reminded of rule #4 here at Adamtopia. Maybe it's just me, but doesn't that sort of comment violate it? Hell, maybe I'm violating it right now by saying I wish people would stop doing that. I really don't know. What I'm 100% clear on is that the doll maker loves Adam, is seriously talented, and combines those two things to express herself. It seems WAY outside of the "glitterier and golden" mandate of this site to call her work "creepy." What if she were to pop in for a visit? I don't think anyone is violating any rules. There's a very big difference between saying, hmmm, I find that kinda creepy and damn, she needs to stop doing that because it's super creepy. The first is a simple statement of a personal opinion. I think that's fine. The second is more of imposing ones own expectations on the actions of others. Which is the same as telling someone how to be a fan. And that's not so fine. IMO, lol. I think the dolls are adorable. My opinion. I will not enjoy it if Adam ever decides to sing opera because opera is simply not pleasurable to my ears. Also my opinion. |

Yippie, I am so glad you said what you said! I've been wanting to say something for a long time now but I just stopped posting all together instead. I feel if we don't like something we should keep it to ourselves. This board is to celebrate Adam not criticize one another. Just my opinion of course. I would feel terrible if the doll maker saw some of the posts or Lee Cherry saw how much some of you hated the tank top picture. It's all a personal choice but please stay positive on this site!!!  Please remember that everyone is allowed to express their opinions. We might not agree with their opinions, but as long as they are respectful it is okay. It is a discussion.
