I'm really envious of the dollmaker. Ever since I was a kid, I wanted to sew doll clothes, but I really cannot sew at all. As in, I literally cannot make a button stay on a shirt or make the simplest of hems stay put. To this day, my husband brings the mending over to his mom's. My mother-in-law (in sort of pointedly bemused disgust) started teaching my daughter basic techniques when she was four. ![]() In my defense, I'm damn good at what I do, but sewing has always been a bit of a "I wish I was even a little decent at that" sore point.... ETA: Smileys still apparently aren't working, but - yup - there's a red-faced one up there. |

Hah hah hah! That's awesome. What on earth is the brown-haired doll near the top of the tree wearing? Don't recognize the outfit. #badstan Still love the doll in tour black fringe the best. Wish I could sew. That is the outfit "Elliot" wore when he sang "Get into the Grove" on Glee. Nah, that outfit I recognize. It's the doll second down from the right (as measured from the top of the tree) in the reddish shirt with almost a gold badge (??) on its chest, and is oriented so its head is pointed northeast toward the clock. Has brown versus black hair. |

It's the doll second down from the right (as measured from the top of the tree) in the reddish shirt with almost a gold badge (??) on its chest, and is oriented so its head is pointed northeast toward the clock. Has brown versus black hair. Except for the owl looking thing on the front of the red vest, I would say Fiyero from Wicked. *shrugs* |

The owl/bell/badge thing might be part of the tree decorations versus part of the doll. Hard to tell. but better than any guess I came up with! |
