Have to admit that Vegas trip killed my diet dead!! Gained 4 lbs but goes off fast if I work at it. Met Rihannsu and she looked wonderful! Okay! Back to work!!!!

Amazing! I ate like a pig all weekend and still weighed in the same as last week. Of course I walked a ton just wandering around the hotel and I did take about a 5 mile walk Sunday morning. Guess I managed to do enough to offset the eating.

oh shoot, it's Wednesday. Ya I still have weight gain from my concert trip. Working on it. btw, I'm getting tired of picking raspberries, 4 cups a day like clockwork. When will it end? At least the potatoes have the decency of staying in the ground until you need them.

Completely missed weigh in and checking in last week. Had to take DH to emergency a couple of times the day before and forgot all about it until a couple of days later. Fortunately no life threatening situation with DH, but lots of time wasted in waiting!
The good thing about having an extra week I guess is that I'm down 2.6 lbs. from the week after my concert trip. Considering my walking has all but disappeared this last week, that's doing well. It's too hot unless I can walk early in the am and my work is currently not allowing that. In addition an off and on right knee problem has flared up quite a bit making it somewhat painful to walk. I guess that means I need to watch what I eat even more, although work does give me a fair bit of activity. Also had my fitbit die on me so it was off line a few days before I was able to follow up with them and figure out the problem.
I see no one else has checked in so hope you're all hanging in there and having wonderful concert experiences! I'm so far behind, still making my way through the Detroit concert thread!
ETA In my house DH does the raspberry picking fortunately. Lots in the garden and they're so yummy!

I'm here with absolutely no good news to report. I have no will power, absolutely none. It's the munchies that get me. Something quick that I can grab, no prep. grrrr
oh oh, for your knee check out KT taping youtubes. They think I might have a patella tracking problem so I have a couple of different styles I try. You can get the tape at Walmart and lots of colors on Amazon. It REALLY sticks however and if your skin gets raw at all it will pull some skin off. To stop that put on Milk of Magnesia (yes the stomach medicine) and let it dry. The tape won't hold up thru baths like it will otherwise but you wont' be bleeding either.

Well, weight is still up and I need to get under control because in 3 weeks I'm taking an Alaska cruise for a week with my Mom, and I know eating on cruises can be a problem. ACK!!!!
I just discovered a wonderful, delicious dessert!!! So easy it's almost stupid. You simply freeze a very ripe peeled banana and it makes a yummy banana ice cream popsicle!! I have frozen bananas and used them in shakes but never thought to just stick a fork in it and eat it !!!!! YUM!!!!

Quick check-in as I'm on my way out the door soon. Down .6 lbs this week, not much but at least it's down rather than up! Also managed a walk this morning as I had no guests, but just the 1 hour as the knee was acting up a bit again. Will need to check into that tape Jablea, thanks for the tip! That was the first walk in more than a week though, so not getting out very often at the moment.
It's been quiet in the Shape Up thread lately! Sending you will power Stardust!

Whilst still not down to what I was prior to my QAL trip of a month ago I'm doing much better. I seem to do better when I either forego breakfast entirely or have something very minor. If I eat early I get hungry earlier.

Well, I'm down only .2 lbs. this week, so hardly worth writing about, but at least it's not up, so that's a victory in itself! No walking at all this week, can't get out early, and too hot for me later in the day. Going to keep working it at and hope for better results next week. Hope our concert goers have had a FABULOUS time!

I am up about 3 lbs from the last Wednesday before my trip but only 1 lb from during the trip itself. If that sounds strange it's because I didn't get to weigh in on the Wednesday the week that I left. Looks like most of the weight I gained was more due to eating out a bunch leading up to the trip due to our home schedule being out of wack. My roommate had her bariatric surgery right after my Vegas trip and so our whole regular meal schedule was off. She ended up back in the hospital briefly getting home the night that I left so what with all that I was eating out more and not watching my numbers very well. All in all I am very pleased that I didn't gain much during the trip itself in spite of not really keeping track. I didn't log things properly in myfitnesspal but I did make notes of what I ate so that I can try to go back and log it and I did mostly keep track of water intake. Managed to get in a couple of high step count days what with siteseeing and all so that was good. Now I just need to get back to my regular walking schedule and get back to coffee with only 1 tsp honey as I kind of over did the sugar during the trip.
