A comment at Riddle's YouTube of Adam's cover of Red House: Douglas Staggs 3 hours ago
I'm not even familiar with you, dude, but that cover kicks legitimate ass. If you do plastic pop, switch to real music, because you and your band are excellent at it. AWESOME!

Happy New Year to everyone! I hope 2014 brings health and happiness to each of you.
I have been waiting for Adam to do a real bluesy number since the finale of Idol. What a great way to start off the new year!
Thank you to everyone who took video and captured this jewel for us to enjoy.

It's been a rough end of the year, and when I think I can't feel anything and prefer to be numb, along comes something like Adam's cover of "Red House," and it moves me so deeply. I've played it often today, and every time I watch or listen I've got the gospel wave going before it's over and every time I say damn when it ends. So good. So much soul. The performance has everything I love about music. I hope there are some blues-tinged songs on the new album. Sending you a hug and wish for a better 2014! Thank you.

Everyone's been posting that MTV Buzzworthy article about their wishes for 2014 because new music from Adam Lambert is their #1. Did you all scroll down and read the rest? I just did and look at #33! So true!!

Back home from the concert. I haven't done anything for New Years Eve for years and this was an awesome way to break the ice. Many thanks to the Atopers who set up gatherings and to Mom and didilynn for letting us crash their room to bring in the new year and defend us when security came knocking at their door (following in the footsteps of Adam ) As you have seen from the utubes the concert was kick ass. The WinStar got into the New Years Eve spirit handing out crowns with feathers, beads, hats, glow sticks. The audience was a sea of lights and color. Where I was standing (there were a very few people who briefly sat down throughout the concert), the sound was great. When I first stood up, I had a PERFECT view of the stage. That was until a couple two rows ahead of me stood up - she close to 6' and him a good half foot taller and the build of a linebacker - nix the perfect view. However, the screens they had were great! and that couple? who woulda thought a "bruiser" like that guy was could move like him and she was bouncing and flailing and entertainment herself. Everyone around sang well (yay) in all the right parts and it was a night I will remember for a long time. I haven't seen Adam perform since Queenbert and the change in his performance, voice and carisma is a joy to see and experience. I thought the band was amazing! Every.last.one.of.them!!!!! I can't wait to find out what is next for Adam.

I took my niece to her first Adam concert and she loved it. We arrived at WinStar., a huge casino that one of the workers claimed was 1.25 miles from one end to the other. I've been to Vegas and about 6 Vegas casinos might fit inside WinStar. We arrived NYE around 2:54pm and headed straight for the Global Event Theater to hear his sound check and were rewarded with 3 rehearsals of Red House so we were pretty sure it would be included. Adam's sound check lasted close to 90 minutes. We couldn't see him but we could hear him through the slight separation between the pairs of doors to the theater.
The casino blocked off the doors that afforded a view of the stage. We got a chance to sing our praises about Adam to everyone who passed us holding our ears to the tiny opening wondering what we were doing. The casino workers also were excited about Adam due to the increase in traffic.
The concert started around 8:35 and ended close to 10:00 pm. This was my 13th Adam concert and there's a different vibe between GA and assigned seat concerts - especially ones where the first 5 rows are inhabited by VIP's who give back a different vibe to Adam than a group who has waited nearly 12+ hours to claw their way to a crowded spot in the first 5 rows. GA concerts are actually dangerous to my health and well-being but the closeness to Adam is well worth it.

The versatility is what keeps me around - surprises galore and thanks to those who explained the Mad World sound - I loved it and Red House - oh, my - I am a blues person - I just keep playing it. Is there a "fainting from ecstasy" smilie? I hope that Red House is just the beginning of more blues from Adam. It suits him. I have a long, long list that I want him to cover!! I also agree for the need for a "fainting from ecstasy" smilie for that performance! The closes I have to a 'fainting from ecstasy' smilie is this. Ecstasy.....
Here is a fainting girl!lol
