Seems to me that idea of success and celebrity has become mixed up somewhere along the way. Success isn't a photo in people magazine every week or a number of twitter followers. I've always thought of Success is an accumulation. Of actions, events and outcomes that is noted and appreciated by others over time. Adam is building success on his own terms using his own talent and smarts. His name sells. He as a strong devoted (growing) fan base who will pretty much buy anything he does. He has respect and admiration of peers and luminaries in his chosen field. And he can still for most part live a relatively "normal" life. Not bad at all... #carryon I understand the difference between success and celebrity... And yes, Adam is successful and is a celebrity who has certainly gained respect along the way for his abilities. I don't mean to suggest that People magazine should print photos of him parking his car; but notes about performances? Rolling Stone could had run a photo in print of QAL at iHeart, for instance. Or of this Red House performance, or the Lay Me Dow performance, even better because Adam had a hand in that song. My point in wishing he had more of a presence in real mainstream media is that it would show that he's not just that guy from American Idol, which is still how a heck of a lot of people I know think of him, if they even know of him at all or know he's done anything over the past four years (admittedly, my demographic and my area - the Pacific Northwest, another Adam wasteland - probably have something to do with it. I just want him to get all the recognition he deserves. (And the Twitter followers thing was just a fun milestone, I thought). Carrying on

Not bad at all... #carryon Honestly, I think this is what we are all saying. I do think he wants the major label. And I do think he wants the radio hits. He is making his way, it's just that there are a lot of different ways to get there. There are a lot of different ways - emphasis on different. Riding on coat tails of others doesn't seem like it has ever been Adam's style. I forgot to put in my success note that sense of success is also and probably most importantly seen personally. I don't know what Adam's goals for his career are save the few snippets he has shared. We know performing is his "happy place" and that he wants to have a long career... I'd love some interviewer to seriously ask him that question today as I suspect his answer might be a bit different than it was straight off idol and after spending time with guys from Queen and Niles etc. These are, of course, just my opinions - I don't expect anyone to change their own just because of what I think. Cheers.

I have to say when I look at the many gorgeous pics of Adam, he sometimes looks straight out of the classy 'old Hollywood' era to me. The many sides of AFL!lol Agreed. Until you scroll down to the shoes. 8-)

Carrying on I really appreciate the respect and press Adam is receiving Internationally...world wide. And since I can't do anything about how the so called 'media' here want to acknowledge Adam....I'll take what they give me right now and look forward to when they finally catch up to the rest of the world. Looking for the POSITIVE and saying WHATEVER to the NEGATIVE. Adam is going to do it his way and is going to 'shine where/when he wants to shine'(lol) and whatever that brings...I'm fine with it just so long as I can continue to hear that beautiful VOICE and watch him 'live' his music for us when he performs. Everyone measures 'success' differently.

I was thinking Tommy because he's a huge Hendix fan, right? Didn't they do Purple Haze for Tommy's birthday during GNT? Also, if twitter was commenting about the band after the Nov. performance, maybe Adam thought it was time to let Tommy show his best stuff. Just for reference, Tommy's birthday song was 'Enter Sandman' by Metallica. If I remember correctly, Purple Haze was for Monte's birthday.

Not bad at all... #carryon The words you used....Success and celebrity ...caught my attention. Over Xmas I spotted advertising for Lisa Marie Presley for an upcoming June concert in DH's home city. I was so surprised....I checked her out on line....the girl has been touring. Over 20 gigs in 2012, 60 some in 2013..... a handful set for 2014. In June she travels from NY and US east coast area to this western Canadian city of approx. 60,000, after a two week break. There is a fairly new theatre which holds around 700 plus in Medicine Hat. Adam and Lisa Marie shared a billing on AI ....her album came out near the same time as Trespassing. The albums were rated the same day in our local newspaper. Adam's got a 3.5 star or a 3....but I sure remember her album got a 4star rating and many accolades from the Canadian critic whose ratings/comments are published across Canada. I was bummed as I was not that enamoured with her A I performance. I read some past reviews of her concerts...and most critics said she exceeded their expectations. To quote adamrocks......Everyone measures success differently. Lisa Marie's net worth is reported as 300 million. She has the flexibility to do what she wishes. Did her album chart? Well, maybe it is charting somewhere that I do not know about. Is her label helping her tour? I do not really care. BUT what I have to admire is she is obviously an artist who loves to sing, and travels for months to sing. Some venues had prices like 20. for bar stools to 77.00 in Canada. If this gal is not to proud to play to 20.00 gigs....Adam is doing more than fine. His star will continue to rise. I just know it. SUCCESS and CELEBRITY......all relative.

If I had to pick a favorite genre of music it would definitely be the Blues. So ecstatic with Adam's and the bands version of Red House.. so much soul. Tommy and Brian have been doing some work on their own in a blues direction, I too believe it would have been their song suggestion. More!!! I listened to a few of those songs Brian and Tommy did and while I didn't really care for Brian's voice much I thought Tommy's guitar was very cool. What's funny is the song with the crappiest lyrics actually turned out to be a cover of a blues classic. LOL and there I was thinking Brian just wrote really crappy lyrics. Although I like the blues classic cover best out of the songs they posted.
