1. Adam Lambert, “Mad World” (Season 8). Another contestant arguably robbed of the win, Adam Lambert’s version of Tears for Fears’ “Mad World” was remarkable. It was vocally flawless. It was staged beautifully. But what really makes this performance special is how connected to the song Adam was. He owned it. It was filled with emotion and power. It will always stand out as one of the best performances. And until something tops it, it is the best. In my opinion.
I love this performance.  It is perfect! Adam's expressionless attitude fits perfectly into this track. This song is the one that sparked my interest to fall upon Adam. |

How does he do it...I feel like Adam is family.. well yes glamily.. I cry for joy at his happiness , I fume if anybody dares to say something less than positive, I watch him take on the world and I cheer, Never in my life have I felt this way about an artist... never until ADAM. I simply LOVE him I know how you feel. Yesterday my local DJ played the latest Kelly Clarkson song and then went on to say how she is definitely the biggest star coming out of American Idol. Then he went on to say "and then there is Carrie Underwood and Jennifer Hudson." Then he said that others have also made a name for themselves such as Phillip Phillips, Daughtry, and ...... Adam Lambert. I know it's silly, but I was so happy that he acknowledged Adam (and I would have been peeved if he hadn't!). Anyhow the DJ went on talking about the upcoming Idol and the new judges -- apparently it's all starting up again next Wednesday! |
