@adamlambert I know you didn't start out to be a role model and you never dreamed of being a poster child for the world in general and the LGBTQ community in particular. I understand that you simply wanted to be a singer, and the beautiful thing is that you've become both.

Each time you open your mouth and your glorious music cascades out, people who hear your songs often feel a little more whole. They feel like they're someone special, a person of value, because they look at you and what you are doing with your life, and they feel like they can do something fabulous for themselves, simply because you're doing it.

Every red carpet that you walk, every awards ceremony you attend, every presentation that you give and every honour you receive just further confirms for them that if you can do all of this, then they have every reason to believe there is something beautiful out there for them, as well.

It's such a privilege to be given this gift of public recognition and celebrity, because it permits people who perhaps feel less than the person standing next to them to raise their own self-belief to another level. That's such a blessing for them, and in beautiful karmic fashion, that blessing comes full circle back to you and gently rests on your head, providing even more light within your soul.

While it may seem that those you are in contact with are sometimes overwhelming in their demands on your time, please know that every word you speak to them and every autograph you sign touches their hearts and gives them something within themselves that they didn't have in the seconds before they met you.
It matters.
It lifts hearts and changes lives.
For that alone, what you do matters tremendously.

Even though you didn't seek out this role, you've got it by default, because of how very gifted you are. You are a singer, an actor, a songwriter. But more than that, your ability to touch people's hearts and souls is a gift beyond any song that you write or any melody that you sing.

Your music's just the medium, Adam.
It allows you to reach people in an easy way that is safe and joyful and fun for them. The end result is that their lives are changed, even if it's ephemerally.
Their lives are changed.

You are so much more than a singer, Adam.
You're a source of light and strength for more people than you can imagine.

Thank you for every second of your amazing life that you so generously share...it's the ride of a lifetime for the people in your world.
