Saw Garth a few years ago and during his banter, he said his biggest influence was Bob Seger! So, not a country guy! I happen to love Seger also!

The more I read about artists who are kept from living their musical lives freely ,because of record companies,producers,managers,etc. The
more I hope Adam remains FREE. He was fortunate to get away from RCA ,I surely don't wish for him to be under another label's thumb.
IMHO it is like being an indentured servant

Wow! I have never seen this video and I know almost nothing about Country artist because I just don't care for country music but this is a very moving video. Thanks for posting it. Good for Garth Brooks to be a maverick and do what inspires his artistic vision! Glad you liked it. Garth made a number of socially conscious videos. "The Dance" shows examples of people who have died for a dream, and "The Thunder Rolls" depicted domestic violence so powerfully that some people wanted to ban it. This can be such a great medium. I hope in Era 3 Adam gets a chance to make the great videos we know are inside him. I thought BTIKM was incredible. junie, The Dance is one of my all time favorite songs. Shameless is at the top too - I wanted Adam to sing that on Idol's country night so so bad. I'm one of the few who do not like ROF - at all. Left the room when he started singing it. |
