She persona,not her voice, reminds me of Peggy Lee .Love to hear what she may have recorded with Adam.. trying to keep myself up for MTN and 5,000,000.. been up since 5:00 Am . don't know if I'll make it. :  I am tired too. Too much partying this afternoon! Don't know if I will make it either. Seems to be dribbling in. Might have to wake up in the middle of the night to check it out, do a dance and hit the pillow again. |

I saw the discussion earlier about Renee Fleming and did a little searching. Apparently she recorded a version of Mad World, although I don't like the arrangement nearly as much as Adam's. But it would be so great to hear Adam doing this as a duet with such a great female voice! Starts around 0:30 sec. And Adam's studio version: ETA - Please someone who can hear these things, are they singing in the same key??? Just wondering if a mashup is possible. Adam's version is actually one half step higher than Renee's. I am sure a techie could make it work. However, tho the song was very effective for Adam on Idol, and he wrings emotion out of it, melodically, and in terms of vocal prowess, it is very simple and repetitive. I'd love for them to duet on something more challenging for both their voices. Renee is one of the few opera singers I have heard who can and does modify how she sings to fit the song genre. She is able to turn off and on her "opera voice." I am pretty sure Adam can do the same. We have heard it to some extent already. |

So glad to see Kevin (beatboxer, cellist) singing here. One of my dreams is for Adam to do a one-off collab w/PTX. Hey, he did recently meet Scott Hoying (tall blond dude). Also PTX and Adam have collabed separately w/Todrick Hall's (?) production. So hopefully they have some small degree of separation and it's not an impossibility. #fingersandtoescrossed BTW, MyS*&@^#r, I would go to a PTX concert if they are in my area. (I saw your question way after it was posted the other day.) They are starting their 2014 tour in 4 days. But the U.S. leg is 100% sold out! Wow! All sold out? Reminds me of Adam's GNT. |
