Okay, a little OT but Bruno Mars was great during that half-time show. Next year, Adam + Queen. That would be amazing! (BTW, I won't mention how I feel as I watch the Superbowl from my couch in Seattle . . . although I have been laughing a lot and I'm not even a football fan, normally.)  Queen Latifah and Renee Fleming were great too. Yes, the opera singer easily sang the SSB. That was probably the highlight because the football game was nothing to talk about. Denver was totally not ready to play. My sis who lives in Seattle went to the Super Bowl with her family and is probably beside herself with excitement. |

I posted that beautiful Pentatonix YT on my Facebook page. My former voice teacher commented: "wonderful singing. Can't understand the text." hahaha. You get a singer with formal, classically based training (or at least one who is also a teacher), and they 1) automatically evaluate other singers, and 2)have many of the same criteria for a successful performance. We may say that a "great" singer or the "best" singer is a matter of personal preference, but there are definitely traits that trained singers respect and value. If you were to poll a number of them, I believe the list of characteristics of a great singer would be very similar. In this case, clear articulation. I don't understand what she means by "text." Does she mean the lyrics? Enunciation? IDGI, because I can understand every word as clear as day!  |

willowgarden -- I bet she's having an amazing time! Woot! Renee Fleming and Queen Latifah were both excellent. I'm glad they didn't showboat, but just sang beautifully. (Opera singers rule!)

Since Rifff's art party seemed like a kids party & it was in the middle of the day, I am wondering if the Cherry's might be having a family party today. We've separated my kids parties into one with their friends and another one with family lots of times! Remember, last year they had a "farm themed" party? Everyone had on flannel shirts, straw hats, etc but Adam wore leopard print?! LOL! "African farm," I guess!  ETA: Nica, Adam is in Frenemies also. I am guessing that he might have another conflict with Kurt over his blossoming friendship with Rachelle oh ya, we haven't heard about Riff's BD party yet, so it may well be happening today! and the Kurt conflict makes sense! yay! if you are bored today - may I remind you of the most amazing thread - Prof. Talon's Queen ! adamtopia.com/thread/996/queen-discussion-threadWhat am I thinking of?
