I didn't watch any of the SuperBowl commercials but I can't imagine any better than this 'Puppy Love' Budweiser one! It just makes you go Awww!

I posted that beautiful Pentatonix YT on my Facebook page. My former voice teacher commented: "wonderful singing. Can't understand the text." hahaha. You get a singer with formal, classically based training (or at least one who is also a teacher), and they 1) automatically evaluate other singers, and 2)have many of the same criteria for a successful performance. We may say that a "great" singer or the "best" singer is a matter of personal preference, but there are definitely traits that trained singers respect and value. If you were to poll a number of them, I believe the list of characteristics of a great singer would be very similar. In this case, clear articulation. I don't understand what she means by "text." Does she mean the lyrics? Enunciation? IDGI, because I can understand every word as clear as day!  Yup. I think he is talking about articulation. In particular, the title phrase. They drop the N on "run" and sometimes sound like they have altered the vowel sound so that it almost sounds like "RYE" rather than "RUN". If I didn't know the title, I would not understand what the hey were singing. Still sounds beautiful, tho. |
