I don't like the Glee song at all. It's what I would cal "bubble gum Pop." But typical Glee! However, I do know that Adam will make it better!  The song is so bubble gum..it confounds me that you have the voice of Adam Lambert, who plays well with others, but sticks him with these schmucky songs. Chris can sang..I'd like to see the two of them have a song that merits their vocal abilities. That is all. #whyGlee? And I hope they don't overproduce it to death like the last duet. OK, so I got spoiled with MTN, but Glee is not doing any of their talented cast or guests a favor with bleck songs. JMO. If they wanna be a rockstar, let em sing like it. Give them a rock song! Wail that sucker...geez, I've been in the house too long.  |

Yes...agree....I think even Letterman found it hard to muster a huge amount of emotion. And....was this the duet she was speaking of? Does anyone know off hand the connection between Sting an Ivy...is it a label? Or friends? Sheesh ... Why the heck that song? Showed little range or character from either...odd choice. Really? I loved it! Thought they sounded great! Letterman was complimentary! but... but.... mys*&@^#r, they didn't even look at each other! Well, I could only watch about 3/4 of the vid, because I always hated that song.   Maybe they actually looked at each at the end? IMO, this why any duet that Adam does is FABULOUS, because he totally engages with the other person---> it's a true duet. There was zero interaction goin' on between these two. I think Ivy glanced over at Sting several times, but for Sting it was almost like Ivy didn't exist. |

Might have input as to what that is. |

Re Q3's reference to Figure Skating and in case you didn't know: For those of you in the US and interested in a specific sport - you can watch LIVE here: stream.nbcolympics.com/They are going to stream ALL events LIVE, you need to have a cable provider to sing up (free). I am planning to see as much Figure Skating as time allows live, as I hate the severely edited and selected prime time coverage. Because I LOVE figure skating as much as I love Adam!! I will be putting up a figure skating thread in the Adamtopia salon on Friday -- before it all starts! I have a feeling the men's competition will be one for the ages this year. Thank you, Q3!! I am a huge figure skating fan!!!   |

Regarding intense forward motion, I think it has started, but is just not being shared with fans. After the oversharing that Adam did on FYE and Trespassing (which did not serve either project well from critical reception to sales promo), I think it is a smart move to stage the promo properly. But we got used to Adam sharing things along the way and it is hard to deal with there being so little communication -- like no communication. Finally, I like the quiet because it usually means that Adam is working, and I want new music more than I want news. Okay, I need to know a couple of things: 1) How did Adam "overshare" during the runup to FYE and Trespassing? 2) And if he actually *did* overshare, how did that hurt him in the long run? How did his sharing hurt critical reception and sales promo? As y'all know, I don't do twitter, so I can't go back 3-4 years and see what kind of sharing was going on at the time, but my tired old brain doesn't remember stuff that would have hurt Adam's promo and/or the reception to his music. Can you guys enlighten me, please? TBH, I don't remember too much leading up to Trespassing's release (except the delays and the ultra crappy BTIKM), but I do remember the build up to FYE and it was SO MUCH FUN because there were so many tweets from various songwriters/producers and everyone was so excited! |

I'm exhausted from digging out my car with DS...so sick of this winter....  I'm soaking wet, my hands and feet are numb from standing in 6" of slushy water...and yet my shirt is damp from perspiration.....groan....but we got the car out, and I came in to see if there was any news........    and there is news!! Ok, a little more detail on Elliott and Kurt's duet....but I'll take it! YAY! And seeing the list of so many opportunities to see Adam on my big screen TV coming up is making me forget how freaking tired I am right now! Gonna go pop a few Advil before the aches and pains find me......but I'll be smiling because I believe we are over the hump of this long dry spell with little/no news!!!.  #StillhopeJackFrostfreezeshissnowballsoff #ihatewintercanyoutell? A month ago I was gloating about our weather but now I feel so sorry for you all!  Thanks! And to think I spent four of my best single years in SoCal......lived one block in from the beach in Newport one year....and I came back to THIS! ⛄️⛄️⛄️⛄️⛄️⛄️⛄️⛄️ But I did marry and have my family here, so no regrets......except the winters...... Back to Adam....is it possible he is in NY as someone suggested? No sightings since the Super Bowl party.....wonder if he got caught here again............ |
