Q3- I think you are so right on about Adam hurting himself with a little TMI on the last albums. He is learning how to time things better as he matures into this crazy business.
I am excited to see him on Idol as a mentor/singing workshop leader or whatever title they give him. I think it's totally awesome
I also do not mind the quiet so much because of the implications - he is writing/recording getting the new music laid down. That's what I am ready for!! New tunes, baby, new tunes!!!

And I'm sure we will get the "sneak peak" at least a week before feb 25th . And Glee releases the songs before the episode airs , right ? I remember with "puppet master" , they released the songs AND the performance's videos before the episode aired ? Like , I guess we have less than 20 days until we actually see some of the episode , and hear the song . And see pics . Just a matter of time now  |

For those of us impatient fans who are starving for Adam news/info/song leaks or anything more than another outing at Bootsy Bellows, I have a sad prediction. The Olympics start in two days and continue thru the 23rd. I don't think we will get ANYTHING Adam of significance while the media is focused on the athletics and politics of the Olympic games. (Probably also why Glee goes on hiatus from the holidays, thru football playoff, the superbowl, and the Olympics.) Those of us who don't give a flying flip about athletics/athletes are going to have to find other activities to relieve our boredom. So be it. But this intense forward motion better start at the end of the month or I may go CRAZY. The world does not actually stop for the Winter Olympics. Although, my world will stop for figure skating. The Idol Workshops with Adam and Chris Daughtry are probably on during the Olympics -- I think it starts on Feb 18th. And thankfully, that is not against skating! Regarding intense forward motion, I think it has started, but is just not being shared with fans. After the oversharing that Adam did on FYE and Trespassing (which did not serve either project well from critical reception to sales promo), I think it is a smart move to stage the promo properly. But we got used to Adam sharing things along the way and it is hard to deal with there being so little communication -- like no communication. Finally, I like the quiet because it usually means that Adam is working, and I want new music more than I want news. *** The Sony history wall is kind of interesting. They really should label it -- the History of Companies Purchased by Sony. Here is a lot of information about it, if you are interested, it is pretty cool. www.alexfowkes.com/89035/834056/everything/sony-music-timelineBut seriously, most of this history has nothing to do with Sony and happened long before they purchased Columbia, RCA, etc. For starters, Sony was founded in 1946 so kind of hard to have 125 years of "SONY" history. *** I seem to remember it was right around the time of the Florida Pride show (maybe in the same interview when Adam announced he was single again) that he talked about being an over-sharer. Since then he's been tight-lipped about both his professional and private lives. Very smart in both cases. Much as I enjoyed hearing whatever little details he did spill about his work and relationship... We might hear more in retrospect about the work once it comes to fruition, but I'll bet he'll be a lot quieter about relationships in the future. |
